This ends on Jan 3, but I hope this isn't the only new year's event.
The gameplay is meh and the rewards are (at least so far) not even close to the usual army of cold. Not counting the 2 diamonds from battle 20, I think the event had some very minor rewards. I'll wait till the end to conclude though.

It's already not easy for me, I just got to LG 2 I don't have broken troops :P
I hope max lev is doable for most people.

| Leg is like competing based on wg level. You can only accrue these points at a certain rate and as such people are disadvantaged if they have not done so much. You then have the troop aspect as well, most of the troops I use now are from event rewards either from clan bonus or individual reward. It takes a bit but after a while it gets much easier |

Every person has had the same in game opportunity to build leg level. Whether they have been able to do this is mostly a real life situation with opportunity. Perfectly valid, but not something that means the setup is unfair. Yes it penalises for lack of activity in a way that is not consistent with other aspects is the game, but not unfair. |

We don't know. Last 20 could be much harder, or could give better rewards, or both.
Equally could be much easier.. but we've all been around long enough to know that's not gonna happen :P |

Your logic is flawed. If solid then they should apply this for other events as well based upon your combat level. Then your same logic can be said as well, how everyone has the same game opportunity to build their combat level.
Also let's take a person that starts today. His LG is 0 so he won't even have a chance to play this event. Not to mention he has to do a zillion normal battles to get creatures even to begin with. And since all is timebased, even if he is fully active he will still not be able to compete in these kinds of events. So it is not really a penalty for lack of activity now is it? As the gap gets wider this will become a huge problem in the future, but ofcourse people sitting on LG 4+ levels will keep their eyes closed and be ignorant about it since they can eat all they can.
Also LG has nothing to do with WG. WG is based on your combat level, whether your WG is 0 or 6, it remains the same challenge for your combat level. You do not get 50%+ more army size according to ones WG level that keeps making the fight extremely more easy as in LG. |

for Lawton: I am sorry I think we shall agree to disagree, I do not particularly want to get into a debate in this thread as it is not appropriate to do so. In my mind this event is the most fair compared to most others.
All people get the same enemies with the same stats and starting positions, irrespective ofany other variables. Due to no hero there is generally minimal levels of luck and morale (confer luck, bravery etc being exceptions) and as such the rng from these procs is less frequent, though a significant benefit with these if available)
The only variables therefore are LeG level - this is something that everyone has had equal opportunity to access, just chosen to or not. Troops s RNG to some extent (rare d
ops from events etc) though much has come from clan rewards as well. I can imagine some debate as to the equality of this. |

Yes, but the difference is whether you can bring a normal army size or 50%+ army size due to ones LG level.

If every player that was going to play ever this game were allready here then this would make it true. You are still ignoring the fact that this cannot be said for people that have not played this game yet ever. What if they start today, tomorrow or a year from now? When most are allready on LG 7+ and can bring double the size army?
When an event does not bring the similar challenge to every participant but gives huge advantage due to its guild level instead, then it is broken as hell. It's like a race where others have to start at 1000 meter away and others only a hundred meter close to the finish line. Guess who will finish easily withput breaking a sweat. But hey, just as I said before, the people sitting on LG 4+ levels will keep their eyes closed and be ignorant about it since they can eat all they can while they keep getting fatter and fatter. |
