Why isn't .ru merging with .com?
i don't know. as much as i've learned history it only thought me that civilization moves to a more lively place from a barren land. i've never heard of being it the other way ;P! |

It reminds me corporate world. Big company opens its offices/companies in other countries, hoping for expansion. When something does not go as planned or when plans change, foreign offices or companies are being closed and its functions are being done (again) by the main company.
Just imagine what would happen if the foreign office/company opposes. It has almost no meaning. Only what might work is to ask for good terms, showing our opinions.
I hope that discussion about merge will be reopened and our points will be seriously considered. Now we should stay united and strong. Refusing merge is IMO not an option. |

When you own a small local store and a big corporation wants to move into your town, your only option is refuse them. Only by stay united and strong with your fellow local stores can you prevent the big corp from moving in and putting you out of business.
You either do that or roll over and die. Some would say rolling over and die is an option, but that's not an option.

1. Quit before knowing what we are actually quitting (AKA. Refuse)
2. Stay and actually see how it will be, before deciding what to do |

Metaphor is the same. As a small store owner you have no control over the actions of the big corp or the city council.

First, most players don't see why we need to protest.
Second, even if we protest, it will be useless. Merge is happening means most important things have already been done.
For me, if merging means being swallowed in the darkness of .ru, then I would rather being swallowed than playing in a zombie-like .com server. |
