AuthorProspects of TGI market price
aaaaahhhhh the free market the more competition the better for customers.
I think a lot regarding TGI price happened because TGI leasing became forbidden by game rules.

It would be now I think in most cases even not possible to get to TG lvl 5 in 30 days to get your own TGI and return it. 30 days is as far as I know maximum leasing period for all items.
3.33. The Administration considers it impossible to reach Thief Guild level 5 from the very beginning in a period of one month. Therefore, leasing Thief Guild invitations becomes forbidden since December, 01, 2009.
Thanks Sven.

Maximum leasing period for TGI would have to be extended to 2-3 months and still only players of higher combat levels would be able to make it to TG lvl 5.

In my opinion it is worth considering to make it possible for players eg. of combat lvl 10 or higher to be able to rent TGI for maximum 3 months. Someone that already achieved combat lvl 10 is also more experienced and generally less likely to break the agreement of TGI leasing.

It would also have influence on TGI price.
I hope admin would implement such thing and bring TGI leasing..
Yes because it would be good to TGI owners and seekers - those who would like to buy it with cash could still do it. Those who dont have gold or just dont want to spend it, would rent the TGI.

TGI owners would be able to benefit from leasing rates. When TGI leasing was possible, the prices started from 1 TG set item per 2 weeks of leasing. So if someone would spend 2 months on acquiring TG lvl 5, TGI owner would earn on leasing 4 TG set items. But still I think it would be in many cases more convenient than spending 1,1M of gold.
for BrownBear & for coolahed: I think they changed the times when you get TGI to ensure TGI leasing was not possible..

for darkelf84: My selling price is always the lowest in the market. Now it is 1.138.000 gold. Let me know who can sell for lower price?
My buying price is always the highest in the market. Now it is 1.080.000 gold. Let me know who can pay higher price?

Now it's either that you're very stupid, or you think the rest of the world is very stupid...

Let me know who can sell for lower price?

This guy can ---> 07-13-11 11:31: Received item(s): 'Thief invitation' [1/1] from SteelLive . Transaction price: 1010000 Gold

.. So can you --> 07-17-11 15:41: Sold item: "Thief invitation" [1/1] for 1110000 gold to SirM0rphius as lot #2580617. Commission: 11100

Let me know who can pay higher price?

Probably ALL of your buyers...
07-14-11 06:05: Sold item: "Thief invitation" [1/1] for 1140000 gold to klear as lot #2572154. Commission: 11400

I think the price as always comes down to supply versus demand. The demand is high, and will always remain high, it opens up a new aspect of the game so everyone would want it. However the lack of supply bumps the price.

Long term the supply will depend on diamond buyers. At the current system each TGI in circulation can regenerate a new TGI, however over time people will leave the game, or not reach TG 5 and sell TGI on. Therefore the stocks will dwindle. This can be offset by people buying TGI with diamonds. However, the sort of people that buy this amount of diamonds are players who play intensively, and these are likely to have already got TGI's and so not invest in any more. The amount of new blood into teh game is minimal due to lack of advertising. Consequently the value of TGI will continue to rise until it mkes little difference to buy off the market or exchange gold for diamonds and buy that way.

Previously what kept the TGI price down was increased supply. IT was not teh leasing that did thus, but the fact that a TGI was gained at level 2 and 4. Thus each TGI could spawn an extra one. Over time therefore you would expect TGI availability to increase and therefore price to decrease. by removing this the admins maintain teh significant incentive to invest real gold in a TGI. This is how it will remain.

The only remaining thing is therefore a need to ensure that the TGI in circulation do not come out of it. IE do not sell a TGI to someone unless they are likely to reach TG level 5 and respawn a replacement and sell it on. Given the time it takes to reach TG5 this is a diffiult assessment to make.
@Nav_ifc

I understand your point of view, and ask pls don't take it personal for TGI - it is just game. No need to make confrontation. Middleman always try to earn something as on most of transactions you find on the market. Lets not make resellers the evil ones.

The main reason why TGI costs so much is in ma opinion result of game update: increasing the TG lvl when TG members get their TGI and as a result of it, making TGI leasing not possible.
Now it's either that you're very stupid, or you think the rest of the world is very stupid...

You should have checked the market before calling anyone stupid. As I am typing this, the cheapest thief invitation on sale is worth 1,138,000 gold. And past transactions don't mean jack when telling what the current highest buying price is.
for BrownBear:
Hmm maybe you're right...

for Grusharaburas:
Maybe I didn't make it clear enough. My main point was that whenever he buys a TGI, that's someone at a lower sale price than his (surely.. so he can make profit), Also, whenever he sells a TGI, the buyer pays a higher buy price than his... (so he makes profit).

So basically using the market to gauge prices is not a good idea, because in other terms we see different prices....

no need for name calling..

Sorry, I thought you understood his post. He was challenging people to find a reseller who could compete with his prices. Or were you being sarcastic?
for Grusharaburas:
See that's the problem, he may or may not be the re-seller with the best prices, but I'm trying to say there can be a heck of a lot of 'better' re-sellers... And that should be saying something, like people have been saying all over the thread.
I. Facts from the leadership:
1.1 Admins want players to invest real money into the game
1.2 Admins changed the rule of TGI to increase the price and hope that players will invest some real money in order to buy one.
1.3 Admins want to change the economy, so they try to take the gold out of the game

II. Fact from the game:
2.1 There is very few "new blood" coming in. New players tend to stop playing before they reach a level of LG that will enable them to buy a TGI.
2.2 There are still old players in the game, that don't have a TGI yet (I was one of them). As they buy one, the demand will decrease.
2.3 There are a few players with lots of gold and an interest of buying/selling TGI's

III. Facts from the players:
3.1 Those who don't have a TGI want one
3.2 Those who have a TGI want to sell one

Conclusion:
- TGI prices will eventually drop(see 2.1 and 2.2). Resellers are the ones that best keep the prices high, but as the demand will decrease they will have to adapt to the market (buy at a lower price/ sell at a lower price with a lower profit)
- Admins may come with some new rules regarding the TGI policy. They have no interest in making some players very rich (see 1.1 and 1.3, as those players will never invest real money into the game.
- Admins may come up with new and more interesting things, to make players pay real money (see 1.1 and 1.3). At this point TGI won't be the best "must have" thing in the game.

darkelf84 deserves to make a profit with his trade as he is capitalising on the fact that both seller's and buyer's intention do not coincide at the same moment. The seller is anxious to dispose his TGI, while at a undetermined future a buyer is anxious to obtain a TGI. Therefore, a reseller comes into picture.

The main problem with his trade is that TGIs are like real estate, which are high in value and not liquid. Thus, there is a risk that he may be stuck with a TGI in hand for a long time with no buyers. Plus, he actually makes an effort to PM both potential sellers and buyers to make a profit, and that effort deserves to be rewarded.

If you want to buy a TGI with a lower price, you can skip resellers by emulating him; start "cold-calling" players with purchase offers, but be prepared to wait for some time. :)

Problem solved.
SirM0rphius

Thanks for complex analysis.

Regarding Admins may come up with new and more interesting things, to make players pay real money Mounts are one of them.

I think the most rule-changing would be to introduce new guild that would be paid to join as well as TG and players would want to join as levelling up in the guild would bring permament bonus to stats same as with TG/MG/LG/HG.

Old players would invest money/save gold for entrance fee so it would both drain away gold and make players to buy diamonds.

So, if someone would pay all the wood on the market and put one lot of wood for 1kkk than this would be the real price for wood?

I always learned that the market price is what people are willing to buy for the goods. But now I learned that this didn't matter any only what you can see on the market is the real price.
@SirM0rphius

great analisys, mate; just one small correction:

2.1 There is very few "new blood" coming in.

admins in .ru just implemented a new player recruiting system (you'll get good rare arts when a certain amount of players you invite to lwm reach certain levels), this will of course come to this server, and should help bring more players into the game. how well that will work will remain to be be seen, sure.
for BrownBear:
Thanks.
The best think (in my opinion) that admins did to take money out of this game, was the latest events. If they were more active and keep events like this pouring in, people will become pour sooner, TGI prices will drop and we'll get the new economy faster.

for syrian:

Thanks. I didn't want to go into future details (dwarfs, clan wars, new artifacts, new player recruiting system, and so on). I simply stated what we have right now and what i think the future trends will be ... ;)
