Compleatly agree with you chakkal2001 :p. Demon can beat everybody on level 12 if he plays good except elf but with some luck that is possible also... I did many mistakes in this tourney especially vs you when i thought I can t lose too barb :P and vs first necro I fought when i thought i can t win...
20 battles make you learn your mistakes and improve your game, 10 would simply not be enough maybe you would not even play vs all factions :p | I guess that's why this tourney is a bless from heaven from ones, and a a pain in the back for others.

The easy thing is blame creators of game and faction differences and be comfortable in a victim role, thinkin u have done nothin wrong. The hard thing is thinkin a way to play ur faction and bein able to kill the others, learnin from mistakes of losses and experimentatin.
I guess that's why this tourney is a bless from heaven from ones, and a a pain in the back for others.

It's even easier going through the world with rose coloured shades and claiming everything is fine and dandy.
If you cannot admit that certain factions have it easier against others and that your levels in the various guilds and the access to the very best equipment which not all possess must be incredibly blind.
I said that this kind of tournament is stupid even before I did a single battle.And yes I did not expect to win much or play well but my points stand.
Try to defeat them or get lost.
Also intitiative is a big factor which you cannot circumvent with any great skill and if you get the wrong side of the coin flip you are royally screwed. | for Shagan:
at certain levels is true that certain factions have the upper hand, but that does not make them unbeatable. I have seen wizards beatin barbs, or necros beatin elfs, sure its not the normal thing but determination also makes a big role here. Thinkin u r lost from the very begginin will only make u loose.
levels in various guilds and equipment is not a game problem, its problem on how u build ur character, and if u r not prepared to face real opponents with decent levels, then dont blame the game. Btw, a couple of stats more than yours will not make a game to be an impossible win, until u see it that way.
Know ur faction characteristics and exploit them. If u see a faction always loose to another one, and u still keep playin that faction the same way, dont expect to win.

I can show u a lot of battles with same factions duelists where the winner didnt had the upper hand on first shoot... that only shows again the predisposition to loose. | Chakkal2001:

No it is a matter of time simply. Those who play a lot have more points in their guilds and more money and more arts.
It is impossible to win if both are equally good. Simple as that. Little things tehmselves can add up fast. 1 attack here 1 defence there 1 inititiatve from elsewhere couple of times can give you easily 15% more damage, 20% less damage taken and better chances to go first.

If Antos wants to get 1st place (or at least a share of it), he'll have to hope he gets to play, and beat, Alyna. | | I would not be too sure that Antos woul win against Alyna. | | No one says Antos will win, but if one don't try, none of us would know, would we? :) | i have to agree with Shagan, the tourney prefers a few factions. i think i am not the worst player in GB, even if i make many mistakes, but in 14, there are exactly two factions who have the chances of winning : demons and knights. this will be reflected in the end in the rankings. i would wonder strongly, if there will be any other factions under the first 3-5 who arent demon or knight.
this will also reflect in the remaining CL. if i am proven wrong i will humbly admit that, but i really dont think so.
another thing is, that the multiplier for xp and fsp is higher for high level chars, i would have preferred that the multiplier is higher for the low level chars. if a CL 14 gets 40k for a win or 30k, that doesnt make such a difference, but for a low level char it would have been a chance to level a little bit faster, thus advancing and maybe having a hook to stay in the game.

I wanted to save money to get shrews on lv8 :( But i also want play in Tournament. The coin always have two sides, since many want to participate on this tournament, but not level :( | I think that for level 13 wiz are really powerfull.
I've not faced one yet but as necro i'm sure i can't match one.
At the opposite i thought that barb would be far stronger than me but i won without much difficulty.
Anyway, i'm ready to switch back to my looser faction !

After I started using my genies a bit, I started winning (I'm not talking only about this tourney).
It's not only this. As a wizard, before I go to sleep I'm calculating what combo would be the best by calculating my spell damages, hero turns etc. It's really important what creatures do you use, what talents and how you play.
And I'm still not playing too good as a wiz, but I'm still trying to learn it better.
And it's also very imporant when do you start running with gargos.
But still, you are partially right. A faction like demon looks more interesting to play your creatures. But I wanna play wiz till higher levels because I know it'll be harder to play them then, and I like wizards' creatures later.. and the fact they'll be able to summon elementals :) (even if I don't know if i'm going to play this game so much to reach them). |
