hi guys.....i'm level 6, and i see that all the other faction have always more troops than me....why?????? |
^^ Because DE too special and even troops number can't stop it. |
Haha yeah well they have more units because if we had the same amount as them on each level, we would be too powerful.
Our units are basically stronger but smaller in numbers.
Like people at lvl 5 have around 46 hobgoblins I think it was...
Imagine have 46 poisoners! That would be awesome...
But anyways if you want more units, get to level 7 and then get rally talent which will boost your troop numbers. |
hey wich is the best troops settelment and talents for level 7 dark elf in this tournament |
for level7 DE you can't do anything with your rogues.
you will be crushed by diamond users with shrews.
try to reach level8 if you can...or buy diamonds. it's your only chance to have a good result. [Player banned by moderator Kotrin until 2009-02-06 08:34:28 // Post with your main character on forums. A small ban to help you remember which one to use :)] |

On level 3? Don't use artifacts at all. Save gold instead. |
hi i'm at level 6.
What's best?
full rogues with 10 minos, or full minos with 5 rogues?
I know obviously that minos are stronger, but they are too damn slow... |
^^ It's your kind of foe that know best who you really are :P
>>> You can be full minos to meet lorekeeper or transform to be full rogues to face gremlins. |
There is no 'best' setup. It depends on what enemy you are facing.
Imo, rogues are excellent against slow, low ini creatures like zombies or golems, while I prefer minos when fighting stuff that have unlimited retaliation (griffins, mod golem), or when up against shooters/spellcasters.
Most of the time I use rogues anyway, but it's up to you. |
at level6 you have 2 possible formations:
aggressive with max rogues, or defensive with max minos.
i used aggressive style as my main formation, for 80% of my hunts and merc quests.
2 poisoners
17 rogues
9 minos
8 lizards
use 2x 1 splitted poisoners instead of a 10th mino: a lot better.
they can take retals for your lizards.
against shooters or army of XXX merc quests, i used defensive style:
8 poisoners
0 rogues
19 minos
8 lizards
again, use poisoners.
8 poisoners (splitted 4-1-1-1-1) are a lot better than 5 rogues: they will have the same utility (take retals for lizards) but they have more hit points.
and you will win a free turn for your main stacks, because your ennemie's shooters will always target your 4 poisoners first. |
^^ Don't need always use poisoners for dummy/retal, rogues reach faster and hit points don't really count to take retal.
There's always more than 2 possible decent formations at any combat level :)
>>> Against shooter with good ini, like gremlins, you can try max. rogues and
use at least 3x1 rogues to fast approach. Your main stack of rogues can do hit-run, at least twice, after 1 rogues can take retal. Next turn, your lizard charge will be ready to launch and poison already start taking effect.
Move your poisoners forward to help and aim better.
At the time your rogues vanished and all gremlins most likely can't launch range attack, mino'daddy'taurs finally arrived with heavy double-axes to take revenge.
Btw: Ppl tend to overlook poisoners, but try any formation with at least 10 poisoners. They can do poison, have high ini and maybe save ur main rogues one turn. |
hi, i'm lvl 5 and Can I know why the spawns is more reliable than poisoner if I have the poisoner i can just recruit 10 of it but spawns can be have 26 of it and their damage is 2-3 and my poisoner have to shoot in range can someone tell me how to defeat a 20 mana and +2 spell power demon? Thanx for help |
113:
splitted rogues are good to take the retals for the main stack of rogues.
but if you use max minos and only 5 splitted rogues, you don't have any "main stack of rogues", and poisoners are a better choice to take retals (12 init, 11 init for lizards, they will nearly always be able to take retals for them)
with rogues, you will have problems to take retals for lizards: difference of initiative is too big (14 VS 11)
sometimes they will be able to take retals for lizards, but a lot of times you will have this very bad scenario:
1: you rogue play
2: the creature you want to hit play
3: your lizards plays
impossible to attack with lizards without losing a lot of them because of the retaliation.
you can try to wait with your rogue, but your rogue will play after your lizard, and you reach this 2nd bad scenario:
1: the creature you want to hit play
2: your lizards plays
3: your rogue play
and again your lizards can't attack.
with poisoners you will nearly never meet this problem. |
^^ Yeah, what i mean is no need to always use poisoners or rogues. Both of them can be used depend on each situation.
but if you use max minos and only 5 splitted rogues, you don't have any "main stack of rogues"
^^ Ofc, can't use max. rogues if want to max. minos.
Rogues=fast, minos=slow, will get disorientation :P
>>> In that case against gremlins above, only need 8-9 minos to take care what's left from those small creatures after being charged, poisoned and disarmed :) |
but if you use max minos and only 5 splitted rogues, you don't have any "main stack of rogues"
^^ Ofc, can't use max. rogues if want to max. minos.
Rogues=fast, minos=slow, will get disorientation :P
i never spoke about max rogues+ max minos.
i'm only speaking about using rogues for retals VS using poisoners for retals.
and rogues for retals are good only if you have a main stack of rogues, it means that in a full minos build, rogues for retals are a bad choice.
the question at message 109 is this one:
"What's best?
full rogues with 10 minos, or full minos with 5 rogues?"
i just explained that both are not very good: you can always make better formation with use of poisoners
for defensive style, he proposed: full minos with 5 rogues
and i explained that in this formation 8 poisoners are better than 5 rogues.
for offensive style he proposed: full rogues with 10 minos
and again, i gave him a better formation:
[/quote)
2 poisoners
17 rogues
9 minos
8 lizards
use 2x 1 splitted poisoners instead of a 10th mino: a lot better.
they can take retals for your lizards.
IMHO these two formations are the bests at level6. all other formations (max rogues +10 minos for exemple) are weaker versions of these 2 ones. |
rogues for retals are good only if you have a main stack of rogues it means that in a full minos build, rogues for retals are a bad choice.
^^ That's not a bad choice, mino is slow.
1 rogue can do retal for lizzy/poisoners or prevent you from being shot, they move faster than poisoners. Don't want mino or lizard become target even before they can move.
i never spoke about max rogues+ max minos
^^ Never said u did :)
Only emphasize agreement at this:
if you use max minos and only 5 splitted rogues, you don't have any "main stack of rogues
IMHO these two formations are the bests at level6
>>> Again, choice is yours :) |
Can I know why the spawns is more reliable than poisoner
^^ It depends on how you use posioners, numbers isn't everything.
and my poisoner have to shoot in range
^^ Don't have too, melee damage is better.
how to defeat a 20 mana and +2 spell power demon?
>>> Actually it's harder fighting might demons than magic one.
In lv.5 duel against demon, better if DE use might and aggressive formation.
So max your rogues is a must, hit as much as u can while they gating and add some defense arts like defender shield or cape of winds. Try to eliminate succubi first and don't waste too much on gating stacks. |
I'm a new lvl 5 dark elf and i'm getting annialated every battle it's getting a bit boring as anybody got any advice or tactics pls help ps have just aquired lizard riders |
