I happy to see some new updates.
But I don't like the parts about hunting and AP points.
I'm sorry to hear that some of the updates have made some players to leave this game/server, now one of the top players(egorovy) have left us. | that make engrovey and walker. :-(
on the plus side the game is getting an upgrade we can now face behemoths, dwarves, orgre magi and dragons pretty mch every monster that was on .ru is available to hunt agaist
i saw a math were kusika vs 12 skeloton dragons | Year, but still... | theres dwarf? can u show me a battle with the | it would be really hard now for a wizard to make mini-arts... if u think that a lvl8 wizard needs more than 700k gold to make good arts for his units
a wizard with weak mini-arts its a weak wizard | why is it harder | 106
Because a wizard will have to buy arts now for every battle: for most hunts and many merc quests, a lvl 5-7 wizard doesn't need arts.
Also, magic arts are more expensive and have less durability than might arts; buildings are pretty expensive, and mini arts are very expensive. | ya i know im about spend 120k on them once sell my "cheap thief crossbow for 45k" 8+ initive and 2+luck for magi | As a mage and someone who prefers non-arts battles i'm going to stop playing. Its a shame i'm almost lvl 6 and was looking forward to doing merc quests etc... but forcing people to buy artifacts is just not good for the game. | only 8 ap for me doesent seem 2 hard 2 get | Ap points is ok with me as long as greedy people don't start buying all the cheap arts and then relist them at much higher prices.
The point regarding having 2 people in a hunt without asking is not a good thing. If I enter a hunt it's because I want practice with a certain creature or to try and raise my hunt record for that creature. Now I will have to fight with someone else who might be afk and I won't get the credit in my hunt record for a win.
Why has the fact that people were just hunting easy levels become a so-called problem. The fact that they are just hunting all the time probably means they are not interested in PvP battles anyway, so the extra skill points give them no real advantage as the chances are they will continue hunting and not bother with PvP's at all......like myself, I can count on one hand how many PvP battles I've played out of over 1000 battles in total. I like to play at my own pace and on my own or occasionally assist. My main goal is to increase my hunter top scores which looks like I can't do as often.....shame, not a good addition. The reason I have stopped playing the russian server and probably why I may quit this game also.
If people want to increase their exp quickly or not is an choice they should be able to take. This negates all these choices in one fell swoop. | wel maybe the admin will change his/her mind about the ap ,never know | I can count on one hand how many PvP battles I've played out of over 1000 battles in total. I like to play at my own pace and on my own or occasionally assist. My main goal is to increase my hunter top scores which looks like I can't do as often.....shame
Sorry, on four hands...lol (18 PvP battles) | In my point of view, I must say that I extremely dislike the required AP for all battles.
I suppose the implementation of this was an attempt to creating a more enjoyable game play. But this will just upset many people as it does for me. Of course in all games people will try to abuse bugs, glitchs, etc but imposing such a rule "ok maybe for skill points" but the AP?
I'm sure a large majority of players in LWM would agree with me in disliking the rule of Forcing AP limits on players of combat level 5 and higher. | I don't agree to combine difficult hunts, look at that link:
https://www.lordswm.com/warlog.php?warid=474213105, 60 upgraded ogres with hp 65 and 47 magi, all with red colours.
In my opinion, that was just unfair!
If it is to combine hunts then easy ones! Now it's better to ask for the assistance then to hunt alone, because never knows what you will get. Some rules should be corrected. | Heeh really nice changes...
I think all wizard are going to thank admins for these "improvements". No easy(green, yellow...) hunts and no hunts without equipment. Maybe admins are going to give us miniarts gratis because I dont know how to acquire them now. In this game never were too much money, but always there was a chance to earn them through hunts...
For Kotrin - BE SURE, I know cost of every my battle I save every gold and thats why I have almost best miniarts in game. So dont try to advise us how is "cheap" using of arts because every good wizard knows it better than you will ever...
Only one good think, that you put in game units, which should be here from beginning. Where are new artefacts or this game ends on 8. level?
If these improvements for admins pocket will take place in game I will be really thinking about ending. | for Anita2008:
Look at the good side, "The hunter become the hunted".
I like this improvement, it gives us surprise.
Also, I think it's not too often that we have to join a hunt together like that.
And why should this game always let us win in hunting? | to SpecialOne:
"Also, I think it's not too often that we have to join a hunt together like that."
Well, for instance, a lvl 4 DE was equipping full arts to attempt a hunter record, and well after the battle loaded, lo and behold, you're joined with a lvl 5 elf doing a tough hunt as well. Now from those example's perspective, how would you feel?
And if you think players are always winning in hunts, pls browse through the combat logs of top players, and many other players in the game, and after that pls justify to me how is this game always letting us win in hunting | Sorry for post using secondary account :X | A1. The wandering creatures is the only aspect with which I have an issue. As a player who constantly seeks to break single-player records, I am afraid that I will be paired with someone during a phenomenal hunt. This poses many problems, not the least of which is the preparedness of the other player. I will not here go into how an unprepared player could easily ruin the hunt. This is because it may very well be me who is ruining the hunt for the other person, simply because the difficulty of the hunt I am attempting is so great that it is actually beyond the capability of a single person.
A2. Besides the problem of player-pairing, another type of situation is when the types of creatures combine to create a very dangerous force. Some combats I need to rush the enemy, and others I need to hold back and let them come to me. Some combats I use all of my mana, and some I use none. If I am facing poisoners, and shrews appear; or if I am facing zombies, and imps appear -- these can be catastrophic to my game plan.
A3. In my mind, however, the greatest problem lies in the reduction of the area available for pre-combat settlement. Many times I may split my large creatures into several stacks. Even with tactics, I would only be able to split them once. This would hardly be sufficient for facing a large number of ranged units. Other times, I want a main force in the center, and auxiliary units on the flanks. Being confined to a corner would create an undesirable situation -- that of being "boxed in".
B. In my mind, I can see several potential solutions -- or at least temporary reprieves -- to these problems.
B1. In the first, a special fee could be paid to the hunter's guild, regardless of your location, which would ensure that you would face the combat alone.
B2. In the second, mana tubes could be equipped, and made to be usable in combat. This way, if the mana is drained by an unexpected group of imps, mana could be restored. [I don't have any idea what to do about other situations.]
B3. In the third, the entire area normally available for settlement would be made available for both players, and each player would be able to see the other player's positioning of unit. In this way they could cooperate, and use the entire area as is seen best fit. Perhaps the play field could be expanded, and the area available expanded to three rows instead of two.
C. I am A-OK with all of the other changes. I especially like that minimum AP levels are being set for all combats. I think that this will increase the amount of activity in the marketplace. I have a feeling there is going to be no small sum of profit available to the average player. I look forward to banking! :)
C1. As a counter to the increased amount of artifacts which will be regularly used, I'd suggest that all players' inventory caps be increased. |
