Because, while bigger level enemies gain more stats. But, players also gain more stats, so that evens out.
But guess what enemies get that players dont get. Thats right. Talents. You have no idea how devastating an expert defense talent is. Its like you dont damage them. Thats why we had so much success with ninja doing a shooter build, ignores expert defense. Or how much damage an expert luck expert attack demon does. Or the 4 morale knights. Low levels dont get to deal with that. |
Whilst normally that is the case, it looks like this time around things are slightly different as admins have allowed the use of shooters builds to be viable.

Let's just compare lv15 and lv18 for a second.
While trying out a max attack build, lv18 can have 20+ more attack, and I don't know how much more ini, at the cost of just atmost 2 extra talents.
That basically allows the higher levels to play shooter while no-one else can.
And that's the safest build there is.

What I meant by evens out is that both you and portal heroes get the stat boosts. So the diffirence in stats between a low level player and his opponent is the same as diffirence of stats between a high level player and his opponent.
When it comes to talents however, since players cant use talents, the bigger the level the more power higher level enemies have above you. |

Also note that the cl21 gets 5 stat points from basic erudition, and if he didn't have that, his stats really wouldn't be different from the cl16.

Could argue anything about these things. Its basically talent versus stat points. Personally i think percentage based bonuses and luck/morale from talents have a significant potential to overcome stats despite what is being implied.
Leaving that aside, there are level 9 and level 6 players with an impressive ~5k crystals so anything is possible with skill and little bit of luck. After seeing their impressive results, i'd be ashamed to be one to blame the system anymore than myself for not taking the riskier way. |
