Except that defense is just as strong as chaos, and chaos is just as strong as attack now... |
Thanks for the advice meshy - good to know, was doubting myself after I lost 2. Though they were both to classic necro, one of which I would have struggled to beat with my main anyway. Just faced a chaos red demon, and one invoker strike carved through most of them.
I can see how frustrating to play against these dwarves are, with the exception of certain builds, particularly due to not being able to protect more vulnerable troops.
2 of my 3 losses as wizard were to luck dwarf, and in both cases it was when invokers moved before gargs - either making me decide to charge to avoid mass retribution or hold back and limit the damage (neither option worked).
I can well see that dwarf is going to be nerfed after this - though not sure how they will do it in a balanced way.
On another note. when deciding these percentiles - do you think they will take the total percentage as those that got 15 wins with a faction, or just anyone who fought a battle as a faction - these numbers will likely be significantly different and thus affect the liklihood of obtaining gold for any given faction. |
The phrasing of the announcement makes me think that it will include everyone, even those that fought just 1 battle. One the other hand, it doesn't make much sense to include a player with fought and won a single battle, taking up room for goldies when he is not elligible, so I would say it's only out of those that fought 15 wins. |
Ok, I keep getting dwarf, that's okay, I am used to it by now, but could someone explain why my chain lightning with 150% darkelfs magic damage skill only does 410 damage on first target?
I have spellpower 31 with expert chaos meaning it is supposed to be 19+19*31 damage which makes it 608 normal damage, throw in the extra 50% should make that 912 damage for twice the cost of chain lightning. But here it only does 410? That's not even half of the 912 it is supposed to do. Ok, he has 32% magic proof while I have 28% ignore magic resistance which should even it almost out. But somehow my 912 daamge gets reduced to less than half of that, 410 damage. Can someone explain how this happens? How did my magic damage get reduced by over 55%?
battle I'm refering to:
https://www.lordswm.com/war.php?lt=-1&warid=893258930
Here is another dwarf with the exact same talents as previous except he has 25% magic resistance.
https://www.lordswm.com/war.php?lt=-1&warid=893242361
Here I do starting on exactly the same target, patriarchs, 571 damage on first hit with the chain lightning. So how can only 7% more magic proof reduce the magic damage so much on the other dwarf battle?
Also meteor shower here did on two targets 486 damage each and in the other battle on two targets only 349 damage each. What gives? |
for Lawton:
he has de 11 |
@RevolutionRebel, he has darkelf 9 not 11, but since when does this also count against magical damage? Wasn't this for physical damage?
So if you have faction skill wizard 11 then the wizard will hardly do any damage? |
Edit: Looked at wrong one, he has indeed DE 11 while the other has DE 4. If that so significantly reduces magical damage then wizardry is done and over in this game. |
for Lawton:
everyone has high de resistance at high level, or else magic de just nuke everything(although it is already nuking everything now).
you played now so good and so does the dwarf, for you, never chain lightning before your ladon stand defended, since the double strike of patriach can be a disaster if ladon not defended, and later you should kill dragon and bear first rather than shooters. |
RR.. you're saying DE resistance will block magical damage?? |
for Meshy:
of course, it works for every damage except poison(de imba!) |
Resistance from fsl block almost all damage. The only exception I can confirm is poison (not decay). |
RR.. you're saying DE resistance will block magical damage??
and you're saying that you didn't know that? rofl.
Btw, i'm sick of losing to battlewiz as tribal. Its so hopeless... |
wtf i was enlisted in tournament but it didnt start the fight and nothing like if I wasnt enlisted...I wasnt the last who submit..stupid system, i took poiton of heal 5 minutes before to fight and it didnt took me! |
for Majesticos:
If there is an odd number enlisted someone will not fight
The selection of this is independent of when you joined
Sucks, but you just had bad luck.
Obviously the less people who have joined the greater the chance that it will be you that gets bumped, so if this was at a low server population time then perhaps not unlikely to occur |
wtf i was enlisted in tournament but it didnt start the fight and nothing like if I wasnt enlisted...I wasnt the last who submit..stupid system, i took poiton of heal 5 minutes before to fight and it didnt took me!
Some weird system agrees.
2 times when I joined early I was kicked, and few times I joined at last second ( odd number of people ), and still got chance to play. |
Also people engaged in warfare should be excluded from the tournament, they are abusing this to hide their equipment, stats and factions. This abuse has been going on for years now, enough is enough allready. The admin should exclude people in warfare from tournaments like this or at least make their assets visible upon joining a tournament. The way things are right now it is nothing but a big abuse and people should be punished for it. |
How is that abuse? You can see someone's stats once you're in battle with them, no?
And you can see people's FSLs and guilds..? |
for Lawton:
To me, it clearly seems you fear to fight 'stronger' opponents and somehow wants to feed on weaker opponent.
No offense, but it makes no sense. Either visible or not, stats can not be changed once tournament is started, neither do you have any choice to choose your opponent.
If X was supposed to join with you. Doesn't matter if his stats are visible or not, you will still got to face him.
And what exactly you can do anyways after seeing his stats, when battle is 'already started'. |
You don't see his equipment and if he is using an avatar you don't even see his faction, that is called knowingly abusing the system.
@ProZyk, nice to see you resulting into a personal attack instead of making a counterargument to the point I made. Yes, don't say anything back about what has been said but make a personal remark back instead, suits you. |
Yea I'm not sure how not knowing their artifacts beforehand is giving them an edge at all. Just look at their stats/bonuses in troop setup? |
