18:26:01has anyone tried to see if the earthquake spell works or not?
It does. You need to cast it 2-3 Times. The catapult then starts dealing damage to creatures. Only ~30-40hp on level 0 though.
The russian forum says the earthquake spell works.
At level 4 the river is added, you can't step further, you need to waste a turn going into the water before being able to move on next turn, as in the AI troops get to hit and block you after you have been able to blow away a wall.
At level 5 instead of the river it becomes a row of spikes, it only triggers when you walk into it dealing around 79 damage, after that a large creature can walk through it without getting any additional damage, I'm not sure what happens when you walk up through the entire spikes.
At level 6 it's the same as level 2 but an AI archer tower is added but it deals like 12 damage so no biggy there. Also the ballista is a waste, mine only deals like around 40 damage. The walls now have 1050 hp so the walls need 2 hits to break them so it's best to upgrade the catapult instead of getting a ballista.
I'm facing a battlemage now with among his troops 160 gremlin wreckers and 16 battlemagi with parameters of 35 att 25 def 24 spellpower 6 knowledge. While it shoots and nukes for 264 damage.
So in short that's it for me, with a lot of russians also stuck after meeting a nuking hero, it's clear that nothing has been thought out about this event, the insane admin can keep this event. The 10% less AI troops after a loss doesn't help at all. Since it is still the same castle and AI hero you will keep on facing, it would have made more sense if this had been like the army quests in the mercenary guild.
BTW how r wizards doing? Shouldn't it be a piece of cake for them?
anyone tried nature build? use firewall to kill ai's troops. will firewall's damage be reduced too?

After all the walls are down the catapult starts to shoot at AI's troops but while mine is at lvl 3 it only does around 20 damage to AI troops no matter the distance so its crap, also after each lvl AI's archer tower starts to do more damage. Is the ballista even worth it to upgrade, one lightning bolt takes it down and its 30 damage to AI's troops isn't really helping either but it somehow always shoots at AI's shooters so no need for controlling it.
When the AI has 4 shooting stacks like the fury barbarian its not doable. I have done all 15 battles and only won 8 of them, since I'm allready at first round 50% loss, I guess the 40 wins won't be achievable let alone the 30. Having read the russian forums it's clear that the admins really don't know what they are doing anymore and have totally lost it. Will someone even reach the 40 wins?
Did anyone get the first aid tent? Should i get it or not?
Played 10 won 8 as nature build wiz with mana recovery. So far staying back and outlasting them has worked well. Survive till they run out of mana or shots! Eathquake to break walls so spells do full damage, elementals and raise for longevity and damage as needed. Firewall works out as poo, too much mana and they avoid it after the first turn.

Ballista is a waste - dies to easily and so only gets shots in when doing half damage because the wall is still up.

While I could upgrade first aid tent on next battle win or lose, I think I will upgrade catapult. With the stay back approach and nuking the walls it ends up doing a fiar bit of damage.

well, although playing with skill potion, performing terribly.

even getting 30 win cube will be a miracle with this 3-4 loss 1 win tempo, after 11 they become beyond any logic.

stupid event as usual.

wonder admins vodka consumption while designing these events :p

Delete the ballista, that's what I did. Then take control of the catapult and up the catapult damage. This way you can remove the archer towers in 2 shots and even start to hit AI's troops instead of the remaining walls. It only does like hero damage but that's still more than the ballista which gets taken down anyway. Note when aiming at troops behind the walls it still hits the walls in front of that troop before you start hitting it. As dark elf I removed more archers this way which made the difference.
Q1)If I aim a wall with catapult, it does, 900-1000 damage. If I hit shooter behind the wall, will it still do same damage to the wall?

Q2)Consider a case with 2 lords,
1)lord - I am currently at level 3, lost 2 times and won finally.
2)lord 2- I am currently at lvl 3, won in first attempt.
Will, the difficulty be same for both lords at level 4?
Could anyone help to explain purpose of the button added in bottom of the page(It is in Russian language)?

If possible, please provide the English translated sentence.

Q1, mine did the same damage to the wall when I aimed at the troop behind it, also I noticed that when there is no clear sight then the image of the arrow is broken on the troop and you will hit the wall in the sight of it so might as well aim at that wall instead.

Q2, as in all events it won't be the same, the first lords level 4 might still be even worse than that second lords level 7. The only sure thing that happens at a loss is that the AI's army gets nerved for 10-12% orso after each loss, after I lost 4 times in a row at level 9 the AI's army had almost halved.

I'm currently stuck at lvl 16 castle with an uber powered AI necro hero, 524 skelli archers, 12 archliches, 87 apparitions, 39 vampire counts, 6 death envoys, 5 bone dragons and all of them with 29% initiative, even its hero has ini 11 on its stats. Not to mention it has also 2 archer towers and the row of spikes, I have a feeling I'm gonna loose more than 4 in a row here. If this is going to be the case from here on then even the artifact for 30 wins will be unreachable.

Also when in need you can draw out an enemy unit out of the castle by putting a stack just in reach for it, most of the times the AI doesn't come if it is just a stack of one unit, only fiends have come for the 1 unit stack so far, rest all still defended unless I would put a full juicy stack bait.
1 dragon is enough to bring anybody out of that wall.

BTW, I have noticed a regular pattern for archer's position:
master spearmen always at top, sharpshooters at bottom, and others yet to be discover.
for wizard, its no brainer..
1st, the door can be opened at will by enemy, so no point breaking them
2nd, shooter can shoot at full damage
AND YET my magic damage is reduced by half across the wall.. amazing event i would say for us wizzy
