What the best set of troops/talents/sub-class for ambushing?

i'm intending to do so now
can someone suggest the talents ,recruits and the parameters that would be good for GBs and PvPs ? | Multiple possibilities..
Shadowbarbs are not very good in 1vs1..
GB, magic
Max ogres
max rocs, cyclops
2*5 orcs
all darkness talents, erudition, centre talent.

1. Keep orc chief near gmb
2. max out roc & keep roc in such a way(preferably at central area), that damage from shrews is minimal.
3.max out ogres, and transport ogres near 1 poisoner stack so that it hits the shrews and blocks poisoners (hydras wont hit ogres, they go straight for gmb). keep waiting for a turn or a half for the right time to strike.
4.shoot the other stack of poisoners & shrews using orc & cyclop.
5. Orc chief with bloodlust are more than enough to kill the hydra. You dont really need wolf IMO. Keep some hobs instead for blocking.

Max Orc chief max hobs max ogre magi then thunderbird and cyclop
Orc chief with bloodlust is quite strong not to mention +9 attack for ~40 turns you can get any time)) |
