tavern drink giver only 1luck but +4 ap
in pvp min ap limit we should count +1 luck as +2 ap or +4 ap?

About recruit my favourite setup in CL 12 was 61 Orcs , 90 wolfs , 19 ogre magi ,7 rocs and 5 cyclops.

In duels:
Against Knight , Necros or Demons:
usually keep orcs in one big stack ( shooting cross , skells or mistresses in 1st hit ) and slit ogres in 15-4 or 17-2 and rocs in 4-3 , Usually the main use of rocs at this level was block, take retal or sometimes transport cyclops.

Against Elf , DE or Wizz:
Usually split orcs in 31-30 and ogres in 14-5

Against Barb depends on setup or troops that choose your opponent.

and against Dwarf idk , they are too new for me xD

In GB´s:
Well basically is same that above but it may change as a function of your teammates or opponents.

I made same question for myself, I think bow are better, because you always can count with this stats, cape only will works, agains't debuffer and chaos casters... So won't will work proppery all the time.

But of course, if you have a chaos caster friend mainly, better use cap, agains't debuffer depends only about the SP, if he got very higher SP won't will work very userful, but if he got only few points on SP cap too.

Maybe not the best setup but after some ambushes my choice was:
90 Wolfs , 61 Orcs , 19 Ogre magi , 9 Rocs , 5 Cyclops.
it works very well for me.
Ogre magi are tanks and very usefull to reach the end of many ambushes.

Yes , DU is always usefull but there is not much difference between Rocs and T-Birds imo.

Between Monks and Clerics or Unicorns and brilliant Unicorns there is a big handicap , With Rocs there is a handicap too but since in CL 13 I only took 9 rocs and lighting is weak in ambush only the +1 speed and +10 HP are usefull in certain situations to keep some Tbirds alive or to reach and block some shooters.

So dont worry too much, a barb still can play very well without DU in CL 13 ;)

from thiefing point of view probably not, but in hunts, omg, make the difference between choosing or not tactics talent.
Yes , from thieving point of wiev of course :D

In hunts if you face a shooter is much than usefull the 9 speed of Tbirds.

not an easy question :)

If you mean a duel 1 vs 1 then i would say holy knight and DE are a hard opponents overall and Wizz or Elves are easy ones.

As im bit bored this morning i will write starting at CL 8. ( imo )

CL 8 : At this level Barb is consistant, Crushes quite easy Necros , Wizzard , Elves and DE. And does well against Knight or Demon but this battles can be difficult if your opponent is wise.

CL 9 : This is a weak level for Barb, not much glory here , your only chances are the fellow Wizzard maybe Elves or Demons and not easy wins , very hard to win knight or necro and forgot to win against a DE

CL 10: This level must rock for a barb. You can win all factions here easily doing the right moves. At this level DE or Necro become fresh meat. And all others havent much more chances against you.

CL 11 : Back to earth. At this level you can kill Elves with a sneeze and Knights or Demons must not be a problem but prepare to fight hard agaisnt Necros , even harder win a Wizz and almost impossible win a DE again.

CL 12 : Back to sky :) . Again like in CL 10 you are able to win almost all your opponents. Duels become much more balanced at this level but with the right setup all factions are beatable..... one problem here.... Holy Knight, if you find a Holy Knight pray to have the best luck cos you will die almost for sure.

CL 13 : Isnt a good level, like CL9 your oponent have the advantage, Wizz are accesible but with Wizz exception you will face problems with all others faccions. All are beatable cos faction balance is well done but all are very hard opponents and again forgot to win againt a Holy Knight.

CL 14 : Still in developement :) , Maybe Wizz or Elf are accesible all others seems very hard to beat. But at this level I do more GB and Barb is good here. :D
