Thanks for a great turney. I've spend quite a lot of money on it and the results haven't been quite as i've hoped. But it's still fun. I got to questions to the community though:
1)
Do you consider the length (1 week) adequate, or would you like me prefer a longer turnement? I don't think I'll have any problem fighting my approximate 15 battles - but since we get such turneys so seldom, it would be nice to be abble to enjoy them longer!
2)
Will their be rewards to every faction? It is no secret that some factions are taking some heavy beating out there, but still putting up a decent fight. |

1) Yes, longer would be nice but it may also be harder to get battles specially for higher levels
2) I dont know how they will do the prizes but necro certainly seem to have a big advantage at level 11 |

1) i dont think it should be longer, but i think there should be les than 20 battles, maybe 10 with s dropout of 5 losses
2) i hope so but doubt it, barbs killin it at lvl 8 |

| It is interesting hearing the discussion about factions. Of course some factions are a tougher match up then others. I'm a barbarian with 7 FSP levels. If I see a wizard. I have an easier game. If I see a knight, it will be tough, but that same knight will get buried by the wizard I easily crush. |

At higher levels its 20 battles, not 15.
Doing 20 battles in 7 days is difficult. Most people that have a job, go to school or whatever, usually dont have the time to play 3 battles each day.
Especially because one battle can easily last 1 hour, thats 3 hours a day ! |

man, anybody can tell mi wats the weakness of elf, except low hp n def?
i having a bit of trouble here on anything tat has shooters (except wizards)
wat do u prioritize when ur a DE with no shooters, except the abysmal poisoners? if i rush the shooters i die of the melee troops, if i kill the melee troops the shooters take mi down in range n no retal -_-|||
knights n elves im talking about (my knight duel used lvl 6 arts, he had no chance), elven STONESKIN is the worst! wif liz charge i could break it, but elven bows kil 7-8 in 1 go in range -_- |
| Probably you should have a mage build ... arrow will kill a lot of bowmen ... and spikes can kill bowmen and reinforcing druids |
The tournament is stupid. What matters most is against whom you go up against.
After that who has more arts and more levels in Labor, Merc, Hunt and especially thieves guild.
After these 3 factors come on a distant 4th place strategic skill. |

Of course some tacitcal skill does matter. I myself am not a good PvPer since I have not done any serious PvP since CL 5 because I try to save up for the thief invitation therefore my experience is very limited.
Group battles and duels do not yield any money though they are a massive money sink. |
Yes it is.... it would be interesting if there would be a tournament with set army and no gain from, thief or other skills. (only hero ability)
But has to be difference in arts... otherwise it would be too bad. |

2 times played... 2 times i did not need to make a move at all and had lost from the start. with expensive arts.

Ah correct especially in duels against same faction he who strikes first will most likely win.
Since most have a pretty similar initiative it' basically a coin flip.

I know. It's also 20 on level 9. But with the beatings i'm taking it's not going to be 20 for me ;-)
I totally agree with you in the length, I find it hard to fight alle the battles. |
The easy thing is blame creators of game and faction differences and be comfortable in a victim role, thinkin u have done nothin wrong. The hard thing is thinkin a way to play ur faction and bein able to kill the others, learnin from mistakes of losses and experimentatin.
I guess that's why this tourney is a bless from heaven from ones, and a a pain in the back for others. |
