you can try to use my pre-combat settlement (it's a level9 settlement, but you can easily do the same kind of settlement at level10)
it's probably not the perfect settlement, but it seems to be better than yours.
advantages of my settlement:
with my settlement, your melee units can work together: all your units will be able to reach the same stacks, and you can concentrate your attack very effectively on a single huge stack if necessary.
with my settlement, shrews can try to open a way for lizards.
if the stacks protecting shooters are not too huge, lizards can reach them in the 1st turn.

also, with my settlement lots of units of the upper side can't reach you, they will lose precious time to approach.

| ^^ With my setup can win few now, maybe because i wear better arts and got lucky but ok next time i'll try to focus my troops at one corner, it seems can be effective too. |

map became even bigger: something like 22*18 or 23*18
i thougt it would be impossible but i won :)
DE may still be a good faction for ambushes afterall. |

i had "Improved Magic Arrow" & "Improved Earth Spike" through one of the builds in my castle (or something, i forget exactly how i got it) and about a day after the update announcement and now they're gone.
has this happened to anyone else? and/or how can i get them back? i miss the crazy damage from the improved magic arrow... |

Need some advise on the following :)
Using full thief set as DE is likely the strongest option for lvl 8 and 9.
But I guess its usefullness wears of as better arts are available at higher levels.
So from when on would you subsitute full thief set with other arts?
Basically should I at lvl 10 spend money to enchant my thief set or sell it and buy lvl 10 arts instead?

Two Question from me:
1.Which talents and recruited troops should I use for ambush???
2.I have lost when I get ambushed by a knight with 31 defence and 8 atk, the bigger new battlefield has made me harder to reach them, what should I do, did the ranged faction becomes the strongest in ambush???? |
OOPS.....One more:
Did DE has the hardest caravan since the new updates???? I saw a lot of ambushes for all faction, DE has the strongest caravan in my opinion...:(

Actually DE should start melee atk when lvl 7 or lvl 8, so I suggest you to take the erudition talent since you just lvl 6....:D |
