AuthorGreatest Animes
But the fullmetal alchemist brotherhood just cameout few weeks ago
:79
I agree with 80
those are the stupidest animes having a big fan base
Ok bleach manga is a one time read only but the anime is just for dunderhead adolescents and fullmetal is for kids
I have seen the entire fullmetal series (dont know about the new one if there is any)half a year back and read the manga till about 5chapter but got the feeling that it is meant only for kids so it cannot be a good one if it only serves a section of the society. You can only get money out the project, exacly what they want but the true worth of a product is a average rating from all sections not a extremely high one from only one section.
And always kids views are easy to manipulate so count that out as being only a average

really?
my sister n her friends r crazy over fullmetal n they r over 20 yrs old
n if u watch the whole series u'll find that its quite enjoyable
unless your r over 50 n hate killing
I have already seen till they go into the mansion and fight the boss(forgot what it is now)
and your sis likes it because see thinks they are cute.Correct me if that is not the case. There is not a single char out of shape or not cute.Hence I can say that normally, boys over 15 will not like it.
And on the contrary I like fighting and killing and I am younger than them
Full Metal Alchemist is pretty good.

I decided to add my few favorites here. Generally speaking, I like a few that have been mentioned here... but most of those in this thread are "Saga" types that go on for several seasons and end up becoming way too repetitive and losing originality over time. Take the most popular for example: Dragon Ball. DB was pretty funny and enjoyable. When it moved on to DBZ it was still entertaining as it didn't lose it's touch and was able to provide originality for a while. However I could never watch it on TV. I don't mind censorship; but when it came down to cutting key plot points and most of the humor it just lost all entertainment value.

The Cell Saga was the last of the good points in DBZ. Everything after that, evn through GT, became ridiculous. Now every episode is nearly the same as the last.

So, on to my list.

• Excel Saga ~ Each episode is a parody on a different genre. Definitely for more mature audiences; you don't want your girlfriend's parents walking in on you watching the 26th episode. Just take a guess as to which genre is being parodied. The OAV, Puni Puni Puemi, is pretty bad. It had it's funny points; but it was generally all the raunchiness and obnoxiousness of Excel Saga without the wit.

• Cowboy Bebop ~ Duh.

• Outlaw Star ~ This is a relatively well-known anime; and severely underrated. It follows the general Cowboy Bebop outlook and humor; yet is considerably more silly.

• Evangelion ~ Ranked number 1 on my list, as well as most of the die-hard anime fan community. Despite the religious overtones, there is very little involvement of religion in the series, movies, manga or OAV and fan-manga. If you plan on watching it, be prepared for a few disturbing bits. The story is very complex, so don't watch it if you're looking for something simple and light. Knowledge of human psychology makes this anime all the more entertaining.

• Kodomo no Omacha (Child's Toy) ~ I watched this at some point in middle school, so my memory of it is vague. As far as I remember it was very funny, a bit childish with spots of mature humor. The episodes I have recently seen weren't as great as I remembered; but I still found humor in it.

• Digi Charat ~ An Excel Saga-like chaotic anime. Another middle-high school favorite. I even dressed up as the character named "What the Hell is That?" for Halloween one year. Definitely good times.

Hmm, this is all that comes to mind. My entire collection is on the other side of the country right now... and it's been a couple years since I've seen it. I'll repost as soon as I get to take a peek at it again.
Naruto all series

kage bunshin technique or should I say Shadow Clone Jutsu
In my opinion, Full Metal Alchemist just bores me. I've tried many times over to watch it, I even youtubed the first few episodes to get a better understanding, but I just couldn't get into it.

I like think bleach is kinda cool though and more than for just kids as I'm an advanced adult (just another way of saying old), its funny (love those bunny picture illustrations), cool action and girls with huge....hearts, (git yur mind outta da gutter) and to top it off the story doesn't seem cliche or boring.

But I'm the type who likes easy to follow type stuff, not that I can't follow sophisticated stuff, ok, I can't, all the talking bores me. Humor, guns, big swords, bigger guns, super powers and martial arts, is my type of anime, like Ninja Scroll or Samuria X

Thanks. I'm going to check it out.

FMA good.
Hated Excel ova.
Cowboy Bebop... okay...
Outlaw Star... didn't like it, but i did watch the full series.
Eva, one of the first animes I watched. Not my fav, but it's a good classic.

With all the talk about FMA, I'm going to comment more. FMA started great, but I hated the later episodes. I think they screwed it up. The whole concept and world was great, but I didn't like how they went in the 2nd half.

FMA reminds me of Full Metal Panic. Name is similar, but otherwise it is completely different. Great high tech story and there's still a lot of room leftover for them to explain and go with the storyline.
Well, just finished Yu Yu hakusho. Darn, only 112 episodes. I felt like it was just getting started. Oh well. I guess better to leave the crownd wanting more than to get worn out.

Next up Bleach.
Yu Yu Hakusho..... awesome classic, a lot of groundbreaking done, but compared to current good animes it kinda pales.

Bleach also went bad after a while. But the Azien arcs is a great comeback.
huh, is Azien arcs apart of Bleach or something else.

Is there anything else out there like Hakusho that makes Yurimeshi pale?
to Lucid-Naz:

Maybe u should try to read the manga of FMA? I've watched the first anime series and found the manga a lot better (and a lot funnier XD)
Azien arcs is a part of Bleach. They are after the Bound arc. Basically I hate the Bound arc in the middle of the series. It feels like a complete filler season. There are also a lot of random filler episodes here and there I hate, but sitting through a year of fillers just suck.

I'm very anxiously waiting for next week's episode so we can see Ichigo's improvement on his rematch.

*I'm being vague on purpose so there's no spoilers. PM Me if you want spoiling info.
Oh thats cool. Im glad you didn't spoil it for me, thanks sen-sai.

Yeah, so thats what I'm doing. So far I've gotten to episode 22 or so.
i like the show yakitate japan from animax dont know y but the way they make the bread makes me drool

Hehe, I like that one too. Cooking Master Boy is awesome too.

Just be sure to watch while on a full stomach or have food prepared already.
Just got netflicks which lets me watch movies and some anime series anytime. So I decided to check out one of my old favorites, Street Fighter II V. Oh my gawd! I can't believe I actually liked it. Its sooo lame. No wonder it didn't get to far past 30 episodes.
Plot, character development and an engaging storyline is my preference for greatest anime

Taiho schihauzo
Aa Megami-sama
Aria the Natural
Evangelion
Naruto before the 100 episode filler
Blood+ (First 13 eps)
