Tried an interesting thing today. Took an MG quest of Brigands (the ambush)- then tried a hunt and lost it. With no troops recovered, I went for the quest- sure enough it triggered an ambush. But lo and behold! All my troops were alive and kicking- and it stayed that way after the MG Quest is done.
So that is an extremely roundabout way of getting full troop strength back after a loss. |

Lower level brigands require no arts and recovers health to a full 100 if you win :) |

Now after this event got over i had 21 and as a reward they gave me 18 more parts.
