Addition to post 640:

Let BP (base probability) be the probability of triggering special abilities that is calculated as described in previous post.

Final probability with soldier's luck talent (PSL) will be
PSL = 2*BP - BP*BP

So, according to this rule if remaining HP of attacking stack is slightly bigger than HP of target stack (BP = 28%) then with soldier's luck probability of triggering special abilities is 48,16%

And some examples:
BP = 5% then PSL = 9,75%
BP = 50% then PSL = 75%
BP = 75% then PSL = 93,75%

Where did you find this info?
It's all derived from well-known fact about soldier's luck:
It grants one extra attempt for the ability to trigger at its current probability in case if it doesn't trigger on the first attempt.

The final chance of triggering is then the chance it is triggered in the first attempt (just BP), + the chance it is triggered in the second attempt

For it to trigger in the second attempt, it must first fail the first attempt (there's 1-BP chance of this happening), then you want to count only when it succeeds the second time around, so you times that by BP again
This gives you (1-BP)*BP

Add it to the chance you succeed in the first attempt
BP + (1-BP)*BP

Simplify and you get the equation as above :)
BP depends on luck parameter right ? so 1 luck = 10% so how come you can have 75% BP ? Is BP cumulative ?
luck parameter increases chance of triggering luck attack

BP is the chance of triggering abilities like stun, knockback, unicorn's blind

This chance depends on the total hp of attacking stack and target stack

I woulda answered sooner but haven't really been on lately...

for lv 11 you can go several ways... you can go offensive setup or defensive one.

I personally like defense setup so I will start with that. you go basic def+avoidance or vitality(whichever you prefer)+expert fortune. You invest your primary parameters all in defense and you get gear that increases def instead of innit. (rings that give +2 attack and +2 def are much better then signet rings of might in this build) this build will give you about 60-70% win rate depending on how you play and as long as you don't encounter a spellcaster. Obviously the purpose of this build is to outlast your ooponents and let luck+crit carry you to victory. I have beaten severl oponents on lv 13 with a similar build because i can't beat them any other way (they have thief guild 7-8 and me 0 so my archers never shoot first so I had to think of some way to survive their first shots)

for recruiting i suggest max gmb, max uni, max trees, 10-12 druids for stone and leftover efks for blocking/retal/stopping enemy archers from shooting.



An offensive build you obviously put all points in attack and get gear that stresses innit and attack with very little regard for def. If your archers don't shoot first you will most likely lose most games. For talents i would go for expert fortune+basic def+basic erudition or leadership depending whether you want 2 extra points in attack/knowledge(for wasp swarm) or the extra morale.



crit for any build should be the most annoying stack/hardest to kill on enemy teams IMO. For crit i usually go for: gaurds, gargs, skels, orc chiefs, liz assailants, hell horse, frontier ursary, and enforcers


as for strategy, i can't really help you there as there is no set strategy to beat any faction. You just have to come up with one as you go and as the battle progresses

I personally don't like holy build but I have used it before with some success. I wouldn't recommend it but if you want to try it give it a shot :)
any ideas on how to beat tribals on higher levels when they go def builds? i just got wrecked by one. shamans have chain light. hero has fear spell that makes one stack of mine useless(efk or gmb) for entire combat.. and the list goes on...

Given your approach above, I am assuming you would wait on turns and wait for the enemy to come to you?
How well would that work against dark elves? Because, shrews will kill you if you wait and with low attack gmb will not be able to kill shrews

Also, not sure if it would work well against barbs?

yes i have DU but i think it is fair since I have thief guild 0 and fsl 8 where my opponents all have fsl 9-10

how do i fight against lvl 11 barb i know what i did was awful but, not sure what else to do all bows die and cant see a good way to attack there formations.
@655 You are stuffed there. You hang back the orc chiefs and Cyclops destroy you. You have to move up, but when you move close enough, yes, you'll bury a stack but then the Hobs or Ogre stack will murder you.

Normally I don't say it's hopeless, but that looked like a horrible match up. I think at that level, Elves are owned by Barbs. Didn't help that he had DU ogres.
yes some lvl barbs give no chance for elf. i always think they are the no:1 range faction(because of ability and cheap offence talent).

What build must be good for a lvl14 in this 11th Blindfold Tournament Plus.
Is anyone tried Nature build? is it good for current tourney?
Nature build is unexpectedly good for elves at this tournament. The basic idea that i have seen working against necros and mages and magic DEs, is to summon elemental, then cast firewalls and/or antimagic shield on treants and basically keep punching or whatever.
This topic is long since last update and considered obsolete for further discussions.
