| Unbelievable, I hadn't been following it recently on a regular basis but can't believe Detective Conan's main antagonist was finally revealed two months ago. The boss of the black organization, only took 23 years for that person's identity to be revealed! :D |
| No matter what anyone says, Detective Conan will remain the greatest fiction I have witnessed. With the identity reveal it is clear DC is in its last arc, maybe a year or two till its end. What a masterpiece, its legacy will live on. |
I very honestly don't think it is a 'Work of art/Master piece', or THAT important for humanity as you say, Lol.
probably you love it a lot, as I do like many things, but think many wouldn't find DC enticing/appealing.
The world's films and series that I consider to be Masterpieces you can pretty much only count with the fingers, Imo.
Like I find Titanic and Star Wars way way overrated, but it's my opinion.

I didn't say it's important for humanity lol.
But no I know for sure that it's not something everyone can enjoy. I often see people saying some horror movie/anime/whatever is incredible, but I absolutely don't end up liking it. Similarly many people might find romance fiction stupid. Just because a series is good doesn't mean everyone will enjoy it.
But don't dare say it's overrated having watched less than 10% of the series haha xD If you watch only 100 or so episodes it's obvious that you'll not get why I or many others like it.
And yes I love it a lot :)
And it's not just me, Detective Conan is one of the most popular anime/manga series in Japan. And while popularity doesn't necessarily mean it's good, this is incredible because all of it's competitors at the top are shounen genre shows revolving mainly around action. The target audience for this category is the same as the main audience of anime/manga in general - teens and young adults, which is what shounen means in the first place. That's why these shows are that popular. The fact that DC stands that high and beats 99% of shounen series in sales is mind boggling. |
