For me the idea the admins have about events is that player who don't donate, can select part of events which is most enjoyable and play them with gold from enroll and if possible, with rare arts given for free for participation in other events. This way you cannot be always the best but you can every time you get fully prepared.
Those who want to rank high in every event, will donate as they play so intense that it is not possible to finance everything with enroll (unless they are extremely agile in battles and smart gold-wise).
And this is all acceptable and does not mean for me pay-to-win game. Some other elements are pay-to-win-ish such as fsp bonus in ABC as in long term it improves the stats compared to another player without ABC. |

I also see 3 three options to fight separately for silver, glory etc. Does choosing them affect the Map in any fashion |

I don't think so. It's just a matter of what you want to focus on.
As far as I noticed, only the first one goes towards your daily victories.
The rest just becomes harder and harder as you progress each of them. |
