I'm not meant to play offensively.
Heck, even using a flame dagger takes a mental toll on me ;(
I need 50 defense and anything less drives me nuts. So won't see more of me playing this tournament.

Look at that log. I watched each battle a couple of times. He beats every Every FD build.
FD is fundamentally slow, and getting the first strike on it is one way to control the game. |

As dwarf troops are a bit slower side, full offensive build are only way to stand a chance against them. But don't expect it to be guarantee to win.
Heard about Fireproof builds; but considering the troops count of FD, not sure of it's success. |
Just played against a FD as a holy white knight with fireproof talent. I am not aware of any serious mistakes on my side and still I was very far from even thinking about winning.
The recruit counts of FD are just mad. On 15th level 5 dragons (!), 13 punishers (WTF??!), 17 ascetics 73 beastlayers and 77 ursary...
I'm afraid this tourney has become "build a dwarf castle or be prepared to lose A LOT". |

In 1st battle the enemy invoker got no luck in 2 strikes
In 2nd battle the beastslayers went before invokers even after invokers having 0.7 more initiative , lucky atb shift

As a knight or DE, out of 13 battles i faced fire dwarf 10x. It seems the admins do not want FD to face FD and if there are many of them, some end up without a partner.
For me, this is the most frustrating event ever. I have 3 wins total out of 13 battles and i am already sick of FD. I really wanted the dark boots, but i will probably need another break from this game. |

You are correct , I tried it yesterday with a guy who was a fire dwarf too, we were the only ones in queue and the game didnt match us in a duel :p
