Many have such hate to AK .com members it's crazy. We are traitors and don't know hat else. Well all of us in AK are friends, we went together to AK. Why? That story is burried and forgoten now but i wouldn't go to to a clan where lots of players hate me for whatever obscure reason. I wish both .com clans success and i was only answering to Issy about that rewarding system. Somehow you thought that i was making a dig torward .com which is not true. As i said in multiple Skype threads i wish that english speaking members of AK, EFL, AD and other clans would cooperate but that sadly seems impossible. I hope i'm wrong.
I know this post will be spined in a crazy way like it always is. Hate is pleasure thing for some so...enjoy.
As for reward system. Main reward for me is those BG points. I think there will be more change in game to promote clan wars and PvP so those will be important. There is so much to do in this game that even if you skip LeG you still have a full time job. :) |
| I figure I should comment since I am one of the people that left a and d to join a clan that does better in the recent events. Why did I do it, leprechauns. I knew they would be super useful. This was the main draw, what about pulls to keep me in a.com clan. Well a sense of loyalty is the main reason, and I feel a bit bad about that, however there is no clash communication per se, there is the forum, which of course does not matter what clan you are in. |
The admins are also signalling in weird ways to everyone
If you're not willing to dedicate a significant portion of your time to this waiting simulator, this game is not for you.
To be honest, it probably isn't the slowest game i've ever played, but it's up there on the list.
It's a game that rewards doing nothing but enrolling and gaining money.
But it wants to demand a more time from me
Which i am not willing to give
Because there are other, better games which aren't so slow to pay back.
games where you don't require 200+ hours of investment to start having actual fun.

yes the only game where you can quit for couple years and come back and pick up where you left it without any major issues...
but the downside of games like this is that it wont earn the devs enough because its too slow paced to have much incentive to donate...
and recently with the flurry of events and new stuff, it really does seem as if devs have finally decided to bring this game to a more profit oriented direction... |

It is not unlikely that 25 survs are too much for me and 17k per month I would rather be in my pocket, though time will tell when not in Xmas hols to make a fair judgement. As for pay to play, I feel I can compete and have donated very little |

Okay then, i'll show how what i say is in fact, related to the event.
this 'grinch hunting' event is only a proof of the recent trend the admins are trying to go with the game.
They are trying to make this waiting simulator of a game into a more active/ interactive thing. Which isn't a bad thing by itself.
But i disagree with the direction they're going in.
Clearly they too understand it to some degree.
Because the base game's concept itself is not really meant to be this active game that you play every day.
So they made another smaller game inside the game, which they can instead use as their new 'focus' and build things around that.
How these recent 'mini-events' have all been based off of clan based rewards and Leaders guild battles is a testament of exactly that.
But in essence this is still a game where you require 20 hours of investment to have 1 hour of fun. It's just not meant for this sort of fast paced action that the admins are trying to copy off of other commercially successful games.
On that note, this isn't even meant to be commercially successful in the first place. Wasn't it a fangame? |
| No matter what you think about the clan rewards, I don't see why you shouldn't play it. You get free armaments and imperial sword parts and it doesn't consume too much time. |
These changes are both good and bad. But they can not and will not continue the way they are right now, because just like in real life global economy, the players in the most powerful clans will get even stronger, while the rest will become weaker. If this doesn't change, in time there will be no "middle class" clans, just the powerful and the weak ones. The weak clans will perish because their player will become less active or quit, and so the game will shrink in size. Admins want the game to grow so they can make more money. This will force them to come up with new ways to compensate the best players, even if they are not part of the strongest clans.
Believe me the rules will change. So for now let's just enjoy this event, no matter in what clan we are in. So far I'm enjoying the new armies, I'm getting +250 gold/battle, LG points and a lot of other small benefits.
BTW: When will we be able to exchange the +100 Parts of stacks of uncommon creatures? |
