for Time Keeper:
Ranged enemy will wreck it, besides Battle Griffin is better for retal strategy.
Get something that can cast evasion
if we increase 5% recruitment then 1 immortals, loes, genies increases?
Most probably yes(if im not mistaken), since 5% of 10 is 0.5, all 0.5 is rounded up as 1.

can 12 ogre magi 10 anchorites and 42 royal griffs work nicely?
IMO unless youre using their chastise and stoneskin for some other troops then it would be useful but griffins of any kind would usually be a target for your opponent and easily they can kill it in a few shots (after you've used battledive and landed on a nearby random tile.)
well, what i was thinking was to stone and chastise griff and then move it in front enemies keep on attacking and they die :p
didn't think about the shooters :(
isn't it possible? :p

even when fully buffed, usually doesnt work because some big stacks like 10 torturer,40 maniac or some t7 can 1 hit your entire stack
for Time Keeper:
bad choice
I wasted 2 PoT weeks focussing on 1 troop ( ogre magi, griff, dreadbanes + invoker, vamoires)
It just wont work out

Its good if youre using to stoneskin and chastise other units maybe berserkers? but definately not griffins. Your answer even when fully buffed, usually doesnt work because some big stacks like 10 torturer,40 maniac or some t7 can 1 hit your entire stack
I find myself keep alternating between 3 compositions of army:
1) poisoners (in mass numbers) + frontier ursary + berserkers + gremlin wreckers + 5 guardians just for their "shield allies" ability

2) frontier ursary + berserkers + anchorites + orge magi (for their spells on berserkers)

3) frontier ursary + berserkers + sky shamans + goblin trappers + poisoners.

Any suggesting on which I should keep using and retain it for usage in the following day? I really cant decide for myself and really could use some suggestions. Thanks guys!
for Usbeorn:
u have faught a gud num of battles now
maybe u shud keep stacks which dont die fast and attacks well
ursary maybe not a good stack to use in PoT(wat i think)
u can keep crusaders with besserkers or
keep a highlevel stack(Immortals) and other stacks to buff immortals
oh sry for double post

for Usbeorn:
sry u r level 4 and maybe cant recruit immortals
u can have gaurds or crusaders with berserkers or apps
14/14 so far :) This is definitely my favorite event, and it's great having it during the summer when I can actually participate. I'll share my thoughts on the troops I used to get this far, if anyone is looking for tips.

Faeries and Sprites: Great starting units, buy a lot of them. I got rid of my Faeries after 5-6 games, and got rid of my Sprites after 11-12 games.

Gremlin Wreckers: Another fantastic starting unit, because their traps do very nice damage when you you have a lot of them. I kept these for all 14 games, but may get rid of them before tomorrow.

Grotesques/Enchanted Gargoyles: Personally, I went with Grotesques, but I see others go with Enchanted Gargs instead. They are tanky, don't get focused very quickly, and deal decent damage.

Fiends: These are very strong, but you need a good amount of them for max effectiveness. Their leap ability is very strong when you know that you wont take any (or very little) retal. I started using these after 4 or 5 games.

I didn't see any Tier 3 units that were worth getting.

Lorekeepers: After around 8 games, I unlocked the Tier 4 creatures, which allows you to get these. They are excellent to either buff you and your allies big stacks with Chastise, or use Fireball on groups of shooters. i find that 8-12 is the best amount for these, split into 3 stacks.

Ogre Trophy-Hunters: I saw the big HP, decent mobility and good damage and thought these would be great. They worked well enough, especially with Lorekeepers to buff them, but I don't know if they were the best choice. I am planning on replacing these before day 3.
Here is my current setup going into day 3:
161 Gremlin Wreckers
112 Grotesques
104 Enchanted Gargoyles
80 Fiends
12 Lorekeepers
+7% Damage and Damage Reduction
+8% Initiative

I don't know how cost-effective the parameter upgrades are, maybe someone has some insight for that? I am also still debating whether or not I should invest in some higher-tier creatures before day 3.

I hope that this info helps anyone looking for some advice!
for Krantos:
Your setup was what i used.. but i soon realized that other setups have much better potential
wreckers.. will die before 1st turn on day 3.. liches are better bait ( decent health, high defense)
12 lores.. great
grotesques.. nice damage but your 1/2 attacking army.. damage is not good enough
enchanted gargs.. just drop them
80 fiends .. awesome damage with bless. the other 1/2 of your attacking army

Worth investing into higher tiers..
sphynx immortals are 1/2 cost of dreadbanes.. almost twice as good
fortune genies, senior genies, lores provide great buff to team
magic school 1 with hero is good for mass delay on every1
So, im thinking of using this setup (Im level 3 only):
16 sky shamans+tribal goblins+12 lorekeepers+44 poltergeists+240 faeries
Could that work?
I previously used: 240 faeries+216 sprites+72 EFK+ ancho+druids
Should I stick to previous setup? So far, its been good=)
16 sky shamans+tribal goblins

do not use any tribal creatures as your main stacks, they are simply fragile(useless) without blood
Now armaments are dropping from PoT battle :P
oh ok ty
Alright, I switched some stuff up, here is what I have now:

98 Grotesques
70 Fiends
10 Liches, taken to hopefully just soak up damage for our team
14 Fortune Genies (split 7+7) to buff and also fight (don't know how good their damage is though)
5 Sphynx Immortals for damage
3 Pit Demons for either casting or just fighting

Not sure about this composition, I'm still turning it over in my head.

Also, I still have the +75 Damage, +7% Reduction and +8% Initiative. Could anyone give their opinions on whether or not they think these are worth investing into this early?
+75 Damage

should read "+7% Damage" of course, sorry for typo and double post (Why haven't they made editing posts a feature after so many years?)
liches wrong pick, very expensive, low effective, even with higher defence die fast, grotesques... i dont know why people play with them, not so high hp as enchanted, damage average, initiative low... fortune genies maybe max 8 (split 4 4)pit demons useless, sphynx imo ok, fiends ok, try to take some elven bowmen (10, 20) instead of liches and split for taking first round damage, take some buffer (ogre magi, lorekeeper)
i advise you great tactic i used at last, just recruit only ogre, ogre magi and ogre trophy + some druids, anchorit, tribal shamans, and split some ogre magi for chastice, ogres are great dmgg dealers with great hp, try it
