AuthorNewbie Detailed Guide for earning gold
Please don't use sarcasm in Q&A when it isn't 100% obvious. Some newbies might actually believe you.

Sorry, that isn't sarcasm. I just learned this from this topic. And if start thinking about it, you'll agree with the others. Of course someone with a high level + high guild level can easily make more money that someone lower. Or do you really want to tell me that a level 5 with MG1 will make more money from such a quest than a level 11 with MG5?

Do you really think that a LG0 will make more money enrolling than someone with LG9?

A level 6 TG0 will make more money than a level 10 TG5?

I know people like you or Lord Khellendros are thinking that you must be as low as possible, but start learning.
HUGE thing I see alot of newbies mess up on: Using AP before level 5 - It will NEVER pay off. Using AP has immediate costs (cost of item), intermediate costs (item durability), and long-term costs (bad fsp/xp ratio, lessened net worth) and EXTREMELY long-term costs (Being unable to gain advantages due to stunted finances)

Being a noob account is like having a job while you live with your parents. You could save up your money and have a better life when you move out... or you can spend all your money on worthless crap and barely scrape by.
@ Arghmage

You are talking about powerleveling to CL-11? That is a huge risk. A short sequence of bad luck with battle selection could RUIN such a plan for months, perhaps. Slow, steady growth with a low CL and high Guild Ratings is the most surefire way to have a successful account.

Never said you should be as low as possible, but saying that you first can make real money from level 11 is clearly an mistake.

Main income is from LG.
Then you can get lucky on trades, tavern game, chest of abundance and roulette.

All other guilds who are level depended (MG, TG, RG, HG, CG) can at best be a supplementary income. So combat level has a small part to do with your final income. (Except the one times bonus by levelling up). Especially since the cost of battles and castle also go up when you reach new levels. So levelling CL up to quickly compared to CL is a bad way to an healthy economy.

In the end this game is for fun, people should play the way they find it most enjoyable. I will stress that I think Roulette is an mistake as it has done more harm than good imo.

Donating $ is one of the "easiest" ways to get rich. ~$9 gives you a Chest and 10 diamonds... Most of my chests were worth ~14000 gold and the gold-value of diamonds is 2500; so a net-total of 39000 gold roughly (by my averages)

Like most problems, you could simply throw money at it and it goes away (unless you have a gambling habit)
