In the space of 2-3 days, I was ambushed by him 3 times.
Bildukas was ambushed 5 times winthin 4 days.

I find it strange that so many players, including some with high thief level, can't figure out what he is doing.
Catching players while avoiding thief hunters is rather easy.

You guys really don't see how he does it? It's very obvious to me.
Note that he intentionally ambushes his victims. He tailors the amount of arts he wears to give himself a definite but not too much edge in combat. So yeah, his victims weren't random. |

IMO, it's not a big problem whether you must use full arts or not,intentionally or not. Because win or lose in ambush just as same as other battles, better preparation (arts) = better chance to win. Just play fast and don't AFK (even you think you will lose the game) already very useful for both of thieves and anti-thieves. |

Fine. I would consider it is your fortune that you seldom ambushes hard opponents ,neither NPC caravans nor full-arted players.
I know the "20% hunt" ,it makes wild monsters increase much slower,so we "hunt MONSTERS with each other" to make more gold,while you "hunt each other",you hunt PEOPLE! =P

As for catching player, Find a player who is not in yellow lake. There is a big chance the player will travel back there shortly. Now just monitor his location. Once his location changes from, say great capital to yellow lake, and he is not wearing uber arts, set your ambush there. You will have very high chances to catch that player, and you know in advance his art set + recruitements. |

@68: I tested it yesterday and caught you ;)
Ambush was triggered in less than 10 seconds after i set it up. This lets very few time for someone to mess it up by triggering a caravan or catching an unwanted player.
I won't do any extensive testing because i'm not interested in this. |

74 so ur saying highest chance to catch player is first 10 seconds after start of traveling and that if he dont catch player hes observing he just cancels ambush so he cant catch caravan or other player? :)
Btw last thief change was on 1st may after which i noticed higher chance to catch player. :) |

| @75: No, what i'm saying is that since you only set your ambush for ~1-2 min (cancel it after that if it didn't work), and you are sure your mark is travelling that way, The chance of another player walking that way in such a short time frame is minimal. To make it even safer, you can avoid the most travelled routes wich imo are YL - GC and YL - EB. If you only do it on YL - MC, Your succes % should be very close to 100%. |
