Nothing is fine. Nothing has happened since my last post. I have enrolled for work and have completed it too. Its been nearly 1 hour.
And the damn battle is still stuck. |
The problem is fixed.
Players who are still in combat in fact are not any more :) (check your character page for confirmation). You need to relogin, clear your cache or restart your computer (in the given order in case previous method doesn't help) in order to regain normal control of your character. |

Oh my. I wonder if I was responsible. I saw that we had hundreds of orphaned battles, the ones that are grayed out on the battles page. So I spent hours cleaning them up. I think I must have cleared out about 200 of them.
Did I somehow mess up the server by doing so? |

No, it's not automatic. And anyone can do this.
These orphaned battles were caused by afk players, long before the updates were done. So they still had a timer, unlike the more recent battles. If you watch a battle, then it will run to completion, and once it does, it completely disappears from the battle page. So I WATCHED them all; it involved opening dozens of browser windows. Yeah, I was a little crazy, but it was satisfying to see the number drop from 379 to about 176.
BTW, I believe the recent batttles that don't have timers do get cleaned up automatically. The oldest that I saw was less than a day old. |
