Well I believe in Doomsday scenario, and I am ascientist, and there is good documentary evidence that I will be right. In 7.6 billion years th sun will have depleted most of its fuel and will therefore burn less bright, this cooling will allow it to expand, in which case it will engulf the Earth. Pretty doomsday if you ask me. Still, somehow this fact doesn't bother me.
in 7.6 billion years we will have adapted to mars etc and probably found earth 5.0!
Also my fav theory is that when stars supernova they create a black hole sucking stuff in. The sun is a star...and it is close to earth.
(But this isn't due to happen for billions of years and there are bigger closer stars to earth anyway) |
