| All top hunts are made by DE (Shrews). Is it still possible to hunt with them in that way? |
for Trillos:
i dont think so. bcoz shrews have high initiative and no retaliation ability.
many top hunts have been made by wizards too. run with enchanted gargs and magic . |
we all are waiting for 8 talent points for each offense talent for DE

i made some maths, to compare damages between
1: advanced offense, battle fury, cold blade
2: basic leadership, rally, basic fortune
shrews:
1: 30*random(6-8)*1.2(advanced offense)*1.15(cold blade)=248-331
2: 40*random(5-7)=200-280
2nd option gives -15.4 % to -19.3 % damages.
lizards:
1: 15*random(8-13)*1.2*1.15=165-269
2: 15*random(7-12)=105-180
2nd option gives -33% to -36.4% damages.
hydras:
1: 7*random(8-15)*1.2*1.15=77-145
2: 7*random(7-14)=49-98
2nd option gives -32.4% to -36.4% damages.
in hunt you will have weaker shrews, and it willbe very hard to break records.
your lizards and hydras will become nearly useless: - 33/36% damages.
your 15 "new" lizards will deal the same damages than only 10 "old" lizards.
your 7 "new" hydras will deal less damages than only 5 "old" hydras.
it means that you will become more dependant of your shrews: if they die, you die (it was already true on hunts, but now it will become true in others battles too: thieving, PvP, merc quests...)
and in compensation, you will have some more minos or poisoners (useless in most hunts), and +1 morale, +1 luck...definitely not enough compared to all the things you will lose.
no, rally+luck seems a sad idea for me: it's a lot weaker than battle fury+cold blade :(
i'm trying to find a solution to the new talents problem too.
now, i'm thinking about basic offense, battle fury, basic luck.
that's what i used at level8.
it worked fine at, but it could not be enough for level9.
and if the updates bring us all modifications of .ru, forget cold blade talent: +15% damages will be reduced to +10%...it was already weaker than battle fury, now it will become a useless talent. |

| Nereid so lets say if rouges do 100 damage, if you got battle fury its only 101, and bandits if there are only 1 they do 1 damage and if you get the talent its 2. I don't get it. |
just some maths:
7*1.15=8.05
7+1=8
for units with 7 damages, the +15% damages bonus of cold blade is nearly equal to +1 damage bonus of battle fury.
for units with more than 7 damages (lizards and hydras) cold blade is better than battle fury
for units with less than 7 damages (poisoners, minos, and shrews) battle fury is better.
since shrews are the most important unit for DE, battle fury is better than cold blade.
but cold blade could be usefull in a few situations (PvP battles where shrews die first) because it helps a little more your lizards than battle fury.
with the new rules, cold blade will deal only +10% damages, it will no longer be better than battle fury for lizards.
you can forget cold blade, it will become a useless talent. |

poisoners have 1 more init than lizards.
it's very usefull to upgrade them, they can be used to take retal for lizards.
and since they will die because of the retaliation, we use very few of them (usually 1 to 3 stacks of 1 poisoner) |
