Does morale affect golems and gargoyles? If not then if I equip the ring that lowers morale but raises luck will the golems and gargoyles end up being affected by the morale?
For gargoyles:
Elemental:
These creatures aren't living, they are unaffected by morale. They are also unaffected by poison, blinding, infection, mind-affecting spells; life cannot be drained from them. Nor can they be resurrected or healed.


In there it says: they are unaffected by morale
Therefore, gargs are not affected by morale.

For golems:
Mechanical:
This creature isn't living; its morale is always neutral. It can be repaired by creatures with the "Repair" ability.

Conclusion: Both of them are unaffected by morale. This means that it is a good idea to use the ring of doubts if you do not plan on bringing grelims into the battle or don't mind losing a few turns every 5 turns.
You`re right: they aren&#180;t affected by morale. But the magis you get at lvl 5, are. ;)

-1 moral for 2 magi and 14 genies in my army anyway, the rest are golems and gargs

Only people with a very low (0 or 1 and maybe 2) faction level for wizards play like this.

Another thing is that playing might built requires some tactical skills...
Playing magic built is so boring (just my opinion)
At lvl 9 in min. AP pvp there is no stronger faction then might built wizzard (just my opinion again) and high faction lvl is crucial here...
@ 571 magic build requires skill as well. it's just a gay tactic to keep running away with gargs and it sucks. it also loses at the tournaments on .ru, and not only against barbarians.

so pure magic wizard isnt the single best strategy believe me. i have some experience in pvp, at least until level 10 - people here on this server are mainly pvE experienced and therefore they all say.. magic magic magic, pure magic!

one thing that i think com players don't know is that there is such a thing as a chaos/might hybrid build. on lvl 10 light magic build is shit, i guess you need at least 40 talent points for it to be effective (=expert light magic and chastice/rapid mass spell.

i don'T say pure magic is bad. but it's one of quite a few decent strategies.
of course it's the best choice in hunts and merc quests, but who cares about those

I would have to agree that at level 10, it would be difficult to assign talents for Holy Magic build, but is Expert Holy Magic compulsory? Useful certainly, but how about Sorcery/Erudition ?

Pure magic build is also the best choice for GB by far.
In 1v1 cases might should be better vs most factions but 1v1 PvP is absent around here ( except for the occasional ambush )

No,the last two battles are not a fair ones,since he downgraded all his units.
However,still no chance for me.
@575 hm smarteddie i think you should not use that insectswarm as might wizard.. it's not effective. to put allpoints in attack, or use phantom instead. phantom should make you stronger.
Also maybe you should have cast one spell with the jinn first so that the jinn and the gargs can attack together.
last but not least give the jinns morale instead of speed.
(my opinion, talking about your first battle vs barb)


@573 yes i care to share hybrid build. basically it works like this: put all skill points into wisdom and spell power as usual, but not all the artifacts. artifacts give very high might stats and only fewer magic stats. therefore it is better to get the might stats only from artifacts in a hybrid build.
i just made a screen it's the best way to show it.

i still wear the magic staff and not the might sword, because a minumum amount of magical power is needed for killing shooters, so that you don't have to attack and can stay out of reach. +2 spellpower cloak, of course, is nice and has no might counterpart anyways. magic resistance is not needed, you win against magic wizard and magic dark elf with this build. wisdom is 1 higher than usual that is because i didn't use potion of oblivion. but it's still good because with 90 mana you can use as many fireballs as you want.. even when there are only 2 targets that get hit by it, the sum of the damage is higher than lightning and you don't run out of mana.

last but not least i think expert light magic is cumpulsory. for example the rapid spell effect goes up from 20%, to 25%, to 30% without expert and 40% with expert light magic. so the last bonus is the best. if you don't get expert light magic, then why did you get the advanced light magic at all, which has a far smaller effect bonus? :)

So why is holy guild weak for wizards? is it ONLY us or just...bad to use. cause Ive seen a really strong battle of a might/light. real strong w/ mass casts.

...well i guess we dont need to have such a high lvl anyway.

Since higher lvls lose units at a much much faster rate. 1-2 turns is already enough and anyway. the important thing is that we have strong units right?

and with phantom, we would be pretty strong, except for our slow units problem.

if we were magic mage, then it would similarly be nice cause we could be support people, giving them teammates a reallly high boost n stuff since not many ppl are holy players.
