first of all - you know that you get for each racial skill point 3% resistance against that faction? So if you have Dark elf: 2(50.00) you will get 2*3%=6% resistance against Dark elf (but level 1 really is the cheapest one)
but remember this:
if you level up all factions you first need a lot of gold (for their castle buildings) and second the points you have spend at other factions will be missing at your main faction. So other player knights on level 4 will have a definately higher racial skill than you (and therefore more bonuses) |

And have anyone actually "tested" this resistance thingy? Does it actually work? Coz in a tight battle, 3% may actually makes a difference between victory and defeat.. :) |
for Jedi-Knight:
You get 3% resistance each time you gain fation level in certain factin. Yes, it works, no, you don't need any specific buildling for that.
I also ask you to ask questions on game mechanics in QaH forum. This thread is for knight faction, not basic things availiable in FAQ. |
for Shebali:
Hi Shebali,
Sry, I didn't npticed u asking me to ask certain Qs in Q&H forum. Me bad. My apologies.
Okie, I'll head there now. :p
Thanks again. :) |
Thanks for all the help in asnwering my queries so far. There is still 1 portion of a Q I asked earlier that I have not got any advise on -
"I know someone told me that have a faction lvl +1 for other factions will give me a 3% resistance when fighting against them.
And from what I read, Knights are specially "weak" when fighting against Necros and Dark Elves, so is it wise for me to spend a day changing my faction to a Necro (As you probably have noticed, I have +1 as a Dark Elf already), and get my 3% resistance against Necros for future battles? And then switch back to Knight after that?"
Any suggestions, fellow higher level knights?
Thanks in advance. :) |
for Jedi-Knight:
No. Knight depends greatly on own faction skill. I'd say it's best to for you to stick to 1 faction for now. |

While it is true that knight faction is highly dependent on faction skill, i would say that if you plan to get a few other levels in some other factions for resistance purposes to do it now. At this point your castle will be easy to rebuild when changing faction, if you decide to do this at combat level 10 you will need a fortune to make various castles.
My advise would be to select the castles that you DONT want to play seriously, and if you want to get a few levels at them for resistance purposes , do it now. However the 3% resistance ,while handy, it will definitely not turn the tide against someone that is beating you up hard, so you can as well skip that process completely. It will matter on close fights, but on those fights your higher faction level might also count more ( also strategy , luck - morale in your favor - better arts ).
All in all, there are many ways to play and you should select what is most enjoyable to you. Even if you do a mistake now, you can easily change everything later by spending some extra time. |
In my last hunt against farmers, which was rated green, I had a hard time protecting my x-bows from those nasty pitchforks. Thus, I turned what should have been an easy win into a nail biter:

Any advice on how to keep my crossbows safe? |
Well If I where you I should use my griffs as extra defense. The moment there were only 2 stacks of farmes left you should have put the griffs in front of the swords, so farmers would have attacked the griffs and x-bows would have been clear at least 1 extra turn. |
i didn't understand why you had to sacrifice 4 griffs at first since your crossbowmen smashed that stack anyway
and then later on you didn't use your griffs to block and when there were only 1/2 stacks of farmer left you might just have waited with your swords/monks, let the crossbowmen pass and then block the path so your crossbowmen get an extra shot |
don't listen to me i play as if i'm retarded
better do the opposite |
thanks faith. I should have known better than to attack with my griffs. |
for jedi-knight : it is because every time ur racial grows up, then ur troops will raise too .. :) Increase ur necros and DE till racial 2 first, then go back to knights .. :) that will be better .. :) |

hahaha.. sorry, I can't stop laughing.. not in an offensive manner, but for some darn reason, I find the above really funny, and almost teared from laughter. :p
Lemme see if I get this right -
This is Shebali's faction stats:
Knight: 5 (280.27) +219.7
Necromancer: 0 (0.00) +20.0
Wizard: 3 (90.87) +69.1
Elf: 6 (747.27) +152.7
Barbarian: 0 (0.00) +20.0
Dark elf: 4 (160.28) +119.7
Demon: 3 (142.65) +17.3
and this is RandhyTheDarks's faction stats:
Knight: 0 (0.00) +20.0
Necromancer: 1 (25.73) +24.3
Wizard: 0 (0.00) +20.0
Elf: 0 (0.00) +20.0
Barbarian: 0 (0.00) +20.0
Dark elf: 7 (1341.00) +259.0
Demon: 0 (2.31) +17.7
So basically, someone (Randy) who has played almost his entire life as a DE, is suggesting that switching factions may be better, while someone (Shebali) who has changed factions more than I have changed girlfriends, is suggesting that staying with one faction might be better.
Will u kind souls please kindly NOT confuse a newbie (!?!) heh.. :p |
There are two main way
1. Several Faction as Shebali or
2. One faction as Randhy (i think he start the second because lv 7 DE is hi enough)
You have to chosse which way you will go.
One faction is cheaper because you have to build only 1 castle.
Several factions is good in - 3% damage per level when fight such faction.
Example Shebali has - 18% damage vs Elf, -15 % vs Knight....
What ever faction Shebali fight against , She take less damage (Except Necro and Barb)
While Randhy has only -21 % vs DE.
A lot of gold invest in several castles compensate by less damage.
I hope you can choose the suitable for your playing style |
you might have to ask yourself as well why did Shebali change that often and Randhy didn't?
as far as i know Shebali just changed to the faction she liked most at that point, so she didn't change to get the resistance build up but to have fun (for example when she was stuck with one faction)
and Randhy has some extra Chars where he checks out the other faction so there is not really a point in changing his main char faction (because he can check them out with his other chars)
of course i have no prove for that at the moment but this was what i heard from them (ask them yourself)
so both didn't count it worth getting some resistance with their main char (although Randhy says that it would be worth it) |
I've tried asking this in QaH, but nobody has answered me so I will ask again here. Should I acceot or decline vaguard of dark elves {10}? I am level 9 and I do NOT have guardians. |
nevermind. I just beat it (barely):

OMG.. I'm a level 4 Knight and I just faced my first hunt against an army (5 of them) of poisoners.
Man, I have never been defeated so badly before, not even in combats/battles against other players who armed themselves to the teeth! :(
Right off, the poisoners hit my bowmen (and my other troops in subsequent turns), and my bowmen and knights more or less died/severely damaged even before they could reach (to stop them from using their arrows) the poisoners.
My Qs are these -
1) Are poisoners too strong for a lvl 4 knight to win against?
2) I see in their stats that poisoners have "No melee penalty". What does this mean?
3) The stats also says Poisoners have "Range penalty". What does this mean?
4)Do u get poisoned only by their arrows? Or u get it even if u get close, and as long as they hit you (Knight)?
5) Since a lvl 4 Knight don't have magic, how can I stop myself from getting poisoned/defeat them?
6) What magic/potion/powers can remove the poison?
Thanks in advance. :)
Poisoned Knight. :/ |
