playing classic demon with dark spells using defensive built , which mass spell to pick , Disruption , Decay , Curse ??
Wow you certainly are taking "try out different build" to a whole new level. I can already tell you it's a bad choice, who plays defensive build red demon? Red demon are meant to be a powerhouse due to it's offensive capabilities.

Anyways your question is on which mass spell, (btw decay dis ray are the same talent), I would opt for mass delay and if you still have some talent points left, mass dis ray/decay it is.

But again, classic defensive dark build demon is not a good option.
Just looking for some Combat replays between , 3 red Demons vs 3 red Demons , just want to see how much crowded the battlefield would have looked after all those gated troops showedup. Can anyone find a few Battle like those??

There's a new rule introduced. Consume corpse talent applies only to own troops. I dislike it. I liked to play debuff build in Commander Guild battles, to help higher level players. On my level 11 only fiends are worth consuming. And they're usually the last stack to perish. Mana outcome should be depending of combat level to my opinion.

Consume Corpse might have needed a small nerf, but right now this change ruins DDem entirely.
Couldn't believe what admin was thinking by nerfing or should I say destroy consume corpse talent, they could have just increase the HP required per mana but instead they made it near useless at lv11.
I guess they don't want us to counter the raising tactics of unholy necros by eating all their corpses. But honestly this was one of the only tactics I could use against them, now I fear they will be very OP against DD.

Well, I guess we'll have to adjust. I'll surely miss eating the biggest enemy stack and getting full mana again.

Atleast should add magic piercing to the hellsfire talent and make red demon more usable in PVP if you are going to nerf the Dark Demon.

Now its official that Demon is with the most useless central talents , Both hellsfire and Consume corpse are crap.

I actually saw a funny battle with 3v3 classic demons. The gated units couldn't fit so they started gating off the map lol. Sorry I can't remember where I found the link, was quite some time ago.

Its because it is the best tactic, and as a unholy and demon player (on my part) consume corpse was way too OP against unholy, I could basically leave my keyboard if I got a DD in my battle.

On the counterpart they nerfed it too much imo!

I know about that build :)

My point was rather focused on group battles, from my experiences in mixed tourney. Where high lvls would focus my troops and low lvl DD would just eat them.

hi :)
i just built my demon castle at cl 16 (i already have fsl 5 for demon), I'm planning on using it for ambushes (at least for now). and i was wondering which build is best for it? i've been trying a hybrid might build as follows:

talent:
consume corpse
expert dark + dominion of curse + dominion of mind
basic def
basic leadership + rally

stats:
~35 att
~17 def
~5 sp
~5 knowledge

recruit:
40 verm, 196 fiend, 29 temp, 20 horse, 11 abyss, 2 dev

is this a good build for ambushes? should i use a more def build? or perhaps a full might build? or should i use red demon?
