I just started TG and recently switched to knight
I am wondering if anyone have some insight on a good approach to this.
I am CL6 and is using might build on red knight at the moment
(they start with higher recruit count at this lv with no white knight troop bonus)
but I just got to fl1 and now white recruit count is basically the same as red (-1 griff, +2 sword) so I am thinking of switching to white and go with escort + basic fortune
plus the recruit count will only get better with time
Another option I see is to go holy on red with either mass haste or mass bless (only enough talent point for 1) but I am not sure if this is going to be viable at low CL (I would have to go mid-full ap to get some decent spell power and knowledge?) |
i found the hero parameter on magic built for either red or white knight can be same.
you can visit page 65 of this topic and visit those links. most information still valid and give you some basic idea on your SP and Kn.
red knight is good for new start up since fsp doesnt affect the recruitment. in low level, bonus effect on rapid spells sure more than enough; you hardly can use bless in most units.
red knight recruitment is better than white knight in tier 1, 2 and slightly on 4. |

what arts do you advise me to use for Minor Tournament?

My advice, normal knight holly built.
Holy knight is good to, but not really my thing..
Just be holly knight and switch between both :).
You can switch as many time's as you like.

Arts that give as much def/att as possible, as you already used points for knowledge and spellpower. |

to make my day easy while reply, i will call the 'old' knight as white knight; the 'new' knight as red knight.
for player new to knight with low fsp, red knight can be good for you. fsp doesnt affect on your troops recruitment. and, with low talent cost on holy, it should be easy for you to build your fsp very fast in short and you will see the effect significant on each fl you grab.
for knight with high fsp, play with red or white knight will be combat dependency.
in most pvp, white knight has huge advantage with might built [where red knight lack on offence talent, expensive morale + luck talent]. in magic built, red knight has no choice but go holy built; phantom can be little tricky to buy you some times, but wasp will be the key for you to knock opponents stack back [yes, non-machine, non-undead and so on]; your holy spells should assist your team mate too [especially mass rapid on team mates' fast unit like orc-warchief or shrew to make them even faster].
in non-pvp, both knight has different role. in most low tier hunts, red knight can perform better than white knight. no doubt, high tier hunts belong to white knight. most range hunt favour to dark magic white knights.
in ambush, red knight has huge disadvantage over white knight. we all know knight is slow and red knight is worse [due to lack of meat].
in ST, both can perform good. but, i prefer white knight. |

Darkness isn't something for knights. Better to use holly magic.
Darkness as knight isn't the same as for example a darkness necro.

At you're level if you want to use magic go for basic holy magic and advance magic. Dominion is for massive blessing, thats for when you're higher CL(not at level 8).
Advance holly magic and morale should do the trick at level 8 :). |

goto page 65 of this topic, get some reading on those links. most information still work until now.
well, dark built need more Kn and Sp to perform better in combat. before lv8, some Kn to cast dis ray is more than enough; no Sp needed for dis ray, a very effective spell.
from lv8 onwards, you can get more Kn and afew SP to cast something. get dom of mind OR [not and] dom of pain if you insists to get a dom talent. mass delay and mass dis ray should be enough. in case you want to have fun with decay [so called as poison before changed], you might need to consider fallen knight talent to get a Sp boost when cast dark spells.
from lv10 onwards, you have more talent point and more flexible to play around with dark built. before level 10, most magic knight will prefer on holy spells due to low investment.
as for your hero parameter, you will get a basic idea after you read those information in page 65. you still can switch btw holy and dark built without change/spend too much.
Darkness isn't something for knights. Better to use holly magic.
wow, this isnt something from a hero with knight fsp 8. i agree that holy built is all-round good in most combats. it doesnt mean dark built worth little penny. |

I agree with Arcanide; Holy Knight is probably better than Dark Knight.

Instead of dark magic u should go for holy knight with mass spell. That will be better if u want to play with mage knight.
Otherwise knight is better with basic offense and battle furry. |
