And today we lost another mod, one that most agreed did a good job. By all appearances, Sven lost his cool and made a mistake in throwing a battle. His behavior was hardly upstanding or honorable, but was removal from the mod clan warranted? Seems a bit harsh. From his description, this was done with no communication to him... which also seems odd. You would expect someone being fired to at least be given the simple courtesy of an explanation for why it happened.
The anniversary tournament was nice... but events like this continue to undermine my faith in this game. |
Why bother posting here Slynky? The thread was created 1.5 months ago and nothing has happened. Though the Administrative reflexes seem sharp and fast when certain people are concerned. This seems more like a useless shout-box.
P.S : At least Kotrin had the courtesy and honor to quit his position unlike some power hungry and/or narcissist players... But remember, this is just a game, you've really accomplished absolutely nothing! |
| I just thought we might need this topic with another moderator who seemingly has an axe to grind and certainly seems to have the potential to be abusive in the execution of her duties. This may be the only safe haven for discussing such matters... even if it falls on deaf ears. |

Based on the precedent already established in this thread by our comrades at LoS, we are certainly entitled to demand an explanation for QA's activities. Certain of which seem questionable and targeted specifically at WGW members. I could certainly be wrong, but it would appear that maybe she holds some type of grudge and is using her new found powers in a biased fashion.
As long as Arctic's initial direction for this thread holds true, we are able to discuss such things here. |
You are certainly entitled to *ask*. As Kotrin established, the Mods aren't required to answer.
It's really up to the admins to decide if a Mod has misused their powers. By all means, this is the correct forum thread to notify them if you think they truly are abusing their powers.
Perhaps the WGW members penalised should consider not including insulting remarks in their posts?

What on earth makes you think I wanted that rule? What makes you think anyone wanted that rule apart from those that implemented it?
No-one that I know actually wanted that rule implemented. Perhaps you should ask the people that manufactured the rule in the first place?

LoS have no war with WGW or grudge against them. Anyone looking at the forums can easily see for themselves that all these claims of a war are all one-sided and are not being made by LoS members. In 99.9% of cases such threads do not even get a response from us. If any clan wishes to fight us then they are welcome to do so on the battlefield during any official events this server gets. We will most definitely drop to the level of a childish and pointless war of words on the forums.
I personally NEVER break any rules in the game, forums or chat and have NEVER insulted any one here.
All people with official postions who join LoS are told by clan leadership that they are expected to do their jobs as they see fit and the clan does not ever get involved in this. They are required to show no bias towards LoS or any other clans and LoS will interfere in no way with their performance of their duties. They are certainly never encouraged to show any favourtism towards LoS members and I would be shocked if someone from LoS was not punished for a rules break just because they were a member.
I have and will continue to stand up for everyone's right to say what they want in the forums as long as they break no rules and will never condone any official position holder abusing their position regardless of who they are or what other clans they are in.
If you feel that someone HAS abused their position then you should most certainly post about it here together with facts proving what you say.

Personally I also felt this rule ridiculous and think the sooner it is removed the better. 100s of posts have already broken it with no bans and without breaking any of the real rules as created by admins.

I've had surgery to remove a pterigium from my right eye. As long as I can see anything I'll be happy. Especially if I don't have to have large needles stuck in my eye as part of surgery prep.
Neither title really bothers me. *But* if someone gets penalised for a "long arrow" in their topic title, I have to wonder why other long titles aren;t similarly penalised.

No one assumes anything, it is just the words that we see on the forums.
And yes, I for one agree that ANYONE has the entitlement to *ask*. But as we have seen from any previous issues on this thread, answers are scarce.
As for the mention of the so-called "war", no one said that you mentioned it. For all we know, those are just mere words being spoken on the forums, but then again, as DiN has pointed out, no one wants to be embroiled in mere words which have no basis other than unneeded provocation.

The only part which was a response to you was the bit after where I quoted you.
It is nothing to do with me why any moderator bans any player so obviously I can not respond to that. However as an experienced chat mod I would expect that QA gave him a temporary ban for breaking the chat rules. |

Acting polite is a lot different from really being polite. You're just trying to taunt things within the rules as always. And I don't have anything against LoS (I've met many nice people there), I just disagree with some posts that come from certain people usually, including you and I'm not afraid to say it. But I'm not going on a war against you or anyone else, I just express my point of view (that's called conversation).
You were one of those asking in the forums how many arrows are allowed in a post and when the clarification was made (I found the clarification childish too) you went against it. What's left to say... |

If that has been implied its pure paranoia on said individuals's part.
I cannot stress enough on this. I DONOT care for petty politics and supposed assumptions.

Hmmmm, arrows again - anyway, as much as i don't want to stick myself in the middle of a clan war, i really want to know what on earth is going on around here.
I am shocked to read that Sven has been removed as a moderator and that he has now left the game. In my eyes, he has always been a fair and unbiased moderator and a great conributor to the game. Am i missing something?
