for Marquise:
+15% ignore target`s defense.
+9% melee damage.
This is the additional bonus you get for wearing 9 items of Magma Set, similarly for other sets too. So if you're up against a hero, it is better to take minimum of 7 items of one set (Ignore target def starts from 7 items)
Against hunts, whatever gives more stats I suppose :)

forgot to mention this but ai is really dumb and will prioritize hitting veterans over other units like bears/zerkers. can easily bait enemies to waste huge dps on running 7 tiles into veterans and do no damage |

So is their a consensus for this event in so far as what is either a level to which normal shop arts tends to work out as (eg level 6 is doable for a bit in shop, but then you either need to up your arts or else lower the difficulty), or else what level of above shop arts is required for consistently winning on hardest difficulty.
I am currently torn as to whether to use my heaven or dark set which I am not enchanting just to try and compete, when the shear number of people doing this will mean the reward is devalued by how many people will achieve it. On the flip side, I have not used those sets for anything, and so they sit in my inventory doing nothing, coming out once a year for halloween so I get easy wins for no durability loss against the nightmares.
If however I repair them (as I would be tempted to) then it will work out as a big loss of gold to minimal advantage.
As such I am inclined to see if I can farm it at the level 5 level in shop arts, which will definitely not bag the glory, but should work out as more cost effective (not that I really know what I am saving gold for these days, just a 15 year habit I guess! |

My own experience: Level 6 is mostly impossible with shop arts (even with the best shop arts). A good portion of level 5 battles are possible with shop arts. Level 4 are always doable. I've been using green arts plus 3 mage arts in the middle for s+p to fight levels 5 or 4 battles. I lose a bit gold with a level 4 win but gain some gold with a level 5 win. So it is possible to save money in fighting only levels 4 and 5 battles with shop arts only, if you can recognize and avoid those impossible level 5 battles (I'm terrible at that :( ). |
| Actually after 35th-ish battles, I can earn gold from a level-4 win with the arts I wear. So now I'm fighting level 4 battles only. |

I can see one reason the last day battle difficulty spiked 10x:
The gold rewards are more than doubled from battle 62. For a level 4 battle, it is already ~5500. For the level 6 battle, it is 17000+! |

| You will get a lot of money in the end, so far I've finished in 2000s by earning some 1.5 lakh gold and other stuff. Post 50, u get lot of gold. 6 difficulty gives some 16k gold if you defeat the enemy. 4 will only give some 4000-5000. Pretty good. I earned lot of money |
