That is literally the definition of pay 2 win. Many players cannot afford to use rare sets such as pirate set, temporal set, robber set etc. Many of us dont have Dark or imperial set too.
Sure we can use a few event arts from depository such as enchanted khopesh but what chance do we stand while competing against players with full imperial set? |

Depends on the event. If its PvP, I would probably skip it. It's gonna be a huge pain losing that many times to complete the event.
If its PvE and they make it doable in shop arts, why not? |

sorry I don't like it when conversations veer about p2w. May be so, but that's the kind of stuff that makes people upset and want to leave the game. And I prefer if such conversatiosn didn't happen more (though I have been a part of many along the way).
Also, to be more helpful now, we have had an event where it used full ench from shop. But to make it work for everyone, admins made shop enchants super cheap for the course of the event. So haven't seen events fully p2w for a long time.
Sure they may be p2w to top the rank list, but for enjoying the event, majoirty of recent events have not been a drain on the wallet (in-game, or real). |

Does not matter why I can’t afford it. Many others are even poorer than me and CANNOT afford to spend 100k+ on an event upfront simply because they do not have the gold.
Events themselves are expensive enough already, about 60k per event and yes rewards cover the cost but making an event 200k+ to play is unreasonable to half the player base. |
The majority that cannot afford to spend 100k on an event, is also the ones who don't generally play events to completion.
For most higher level non-gamblers, 100k is chump change.
And since events generally reward as much as they cost these days, take a loan from your clan, which will often happily oblige, and pay back later. |
I have no issues with events as it is. Have completed every single past event I participated in and after reading your post in #54, I am more accepting towards such an event.
I am however, opposed to a PvP event where all sets are allowed, mainly due to this being allowed in clan PvP already. No reason to have such an event where every battle is a coin flip. |
