| Anyway all prices are steadily going up while almost none are going down, at least not in a notable way. The intent of the guild should have been pretty obvious when they introduced donation troops and PvP tournaments. |

Look at the donation creature Anubis. It's as bad as they come.
Yet people pay.

2 x Liz assaulting is the coolest thing ever. Looks like a super useful strategy whenever enemy has a single big stack.

Before Pikemen, the donation troops never felt so OP.
Each had strengths and notable weaknesses.
Dwarf warriors and crusaders shine against ranged (and also undead) enemies. But if you're facing a full melee army, they're nothing spectacular.
Anubis are useful for rage, and getting that first-hit against enemy buff/debuff troops. That's it.
Pikemen. What can I say. They're an all-around strong troop.
If you only use low troops, you can avoid the 60% defense ability of pikemen. But being forced to use low-tier is a big handicap of itself. And even despite that, you'll still need like 15k leadership worth low-tier (except zombies) to take out 10k of Pikemen.
Zombies counter pikemen in a 1-1. But you can have atmost 10k of zombies. And they're very easy to ignore.
Pikemen are just way too strong right now. And considering how admins refuse to increase the price of non-donation troops, these tournaments will go to waste. |

True, the only counter of pikemen is pikemen , hard to kill them with any other useful troop
