I think there is a big problem in this event, since it is very bad balanced:
Opponents of level 20-22 have only +5 defense than opponents of level 14. Number of creatures is the same.
At level 20 u can get 70 attack, at level 14 maybe 40 or 45.
So shooters build will not work at level 14. I have been using a spam build with tier 1 and maxed defense but after level 30 it does not work anymore.
So what's the point of this event? I see low levels (below 10) and high levels winning all battles quite easily having fun like it was "Dungeon Cave" event and average levels are stucked, struggling to find a build and losing pretty often.
I don't think this kind of criticism is valid.
Every level has to find a different build to go with.

For example, it'll be a nightmare for the higher level players to play with high-tier troops.
Since they already have a strong stat advantage, high tiers become pretty rendundant.
You can alternatively pose the problem as how higher levels are forced to use the noob troops.

At cl14-15, the stat advantage we have over AI is small.
So using high tiers is a very good idea.
As a more specific example, put your stats into defense, and pick up something like death envoys.
Your troops will have defense>>enemy attack, yet, your troops attack == enemy defense. Which is the right place to have it be.

It's PoT. It's about constantly experimenting builds.
I do think it's bad that the higher levels have found a very stable ranged strategy, which doesn't require much experimentation. Or maybe it does, I don't know.
to add to what was just said :
you have to take into account that lower levels have less possibilities in how to build their armies. for example at level 8 to 10(12?) you don't have access to tier 7 and magic guild 3. and if i remember right for 5 to 7, you remove tier 6 and magic 2 as well.
basically lower level players have to find a build with what they can have. same for high level players who can also make magic build viable.
Low levels don't face opponents with those magic guilds or high tier either, so it's a fair thing
High level enemies have more talents, so it is significantly harder.
Can anyone troop build for level 20-25 ?

I used golem and zombie combination with all stats on defence, but it is not good most of the times after level 20.
What's the pattern behind the number of crystals you get in a level?
I don't understand the progression.

Heavy bolt doesn't attack friendly troops!? It skips right past it's own troops.
Infernal hatred attacking all troops instead of in local radius.

I would attribute that to bad escription. I find it very very unlikely for a tier 6 to get such a powerful debuff like that.

Yes, it's a bug. Like the temptress's ability, the spell should end when the creature dies. The idea is, the creature forces its opponent to attack it instead of its allies. You can't challenge somebody if you're dead.

This ability works correctly in HoMM6.

in homm vi challenge is removed when kenshi dies even if not written in it's description

Challenge: first attacked enemy has -45% to damages to any other units than Kensei. After eliminating one troop, Kensei can challenge another one.
whats the minimum number of victories needed to ensure achievement??
