Let's help the whiners :
- DDem with fat temptresses possessing and decoy hounds taking the first hits
- HKnight with StandGround talent on griffins
- wizards... just doing their normal wizard thing

These strats had impressive win rates with medium AP, and I don't see that changing with the new AI. Try them out, and let the admins do their good work.
I guess it's the braindead Might noobs realizing that there is more to the game than their playstyle, when they get the shafting they deserve.


I don't see any reason for calling me a whiner while I'm the one who found a way to exploit in Thieving by using the defence knight tactic? The point of fighting AI is to find an eploit to win certain battle's. Let them get smarter, I'm sure I'll find a way to have high thief wins as a defence knight against smarter AI's aswell.


I've learned over 10 knight to use this tactics to win as many thiefs as possible in only a few days (and I've noticed more and more players use it these days).

This is for ME the only way I enjoy TG, the harder the AI gets the harder my griffins hit and the more FSP I get per win. Making the AI smarter will most likely be a killer to my tacics, but I'm sure I'll find another way to exploit the new AI.

Specially in TG..Without enchant you cannot win

This is not true, just change your tactics. Most of you always use the same tactics and then "whine" you can not win any thiefs.. Every faction has certain tactics to exploit the AI caravans, even when their difficulty is insane.
Why is it "always better"?

because if you start with easy mode and make it harder, then there will be more whines.

IMHO, it is "always better" because if you start with an easy ride and then increase the difficulty in the next few days after collecting the data, you are basically giving away free easy good xp/sp ratio to anybody with enough time to spend in these days. And this game already rewards hardcore gamers so much that that would only make it worse.

I agree that this sudden change in difficulty is a nuisance and can be seen as unfair, but chill, since it's obvious it's only temporary. Whining about the admins don't cutting the AI numbers too much by now is just silly, let they do their job and then we can evaluate. Moreover, there is also a lot of people who doesn't have it's caravan very hard, either because they are in a losing streak on purpose to make them go down or because they are starting its TG adventure. So trying to make this an global trouble is also wrong.

Making the AI smarter is always good news in my book, let's wait until the change is 100% done and then let's discuss.
Atheros is right. I hope the reduction is not something like 300 to 250.

Why is it "always better"? It puzzles me that anyone should think that.

If you start it off easy and increase the difficulty you get people who complain after the difficulty increases. See example; https://www.lordswm.com/forum_messages.php?tid=2296928

If you start it off difficult and reduce the difficulty, people will be pissed off at the start, but then become happier as the admins lower the difficulty to suit. The two end results in each situation are different. In the first, you have players who are upset that it has become more difficult after they adjusted to an easier playstyle. In the second the end result is that players are going to be more satisfied when the difficulty reduces.

I think the point that Liuker made, IMHO, admins weren't sure how much they need to reduce the amount of troops, and they do not have that time and energy to test all levels and factions and types of battles, so they let players do the job and they can analyze the data., is a good one. You could have a dozen testers work out the difficulties or you could have a couple of hundred players work it out and adjust based off their results.

First of all, I can't stand hiding in a corner and casting spells.If that is the way some want to play then fine. I look at those types like sniveling cowards. This IS a game of war that includes physical attacks as well as magical. If you had an army defending your castle, you bet your arse you would want thousands of Modis out there smashing skulls.

My play style reflects my personality. In RL, if someone says or does something out of line to me, I smash them. That is the barbarian way. People like me do that because we can. People without that ability would give anything to be like us.

They need to reduce numbers, if not revert the change. I'll be the last to whine that they have brains but if they are thrice my size rushing with fury, I will rage.

I hope you have to contention with other builds..the poor dark elf in me doesnt have these countering and incongruent cheats *yeh, come at me* the rush wrecking barbarian in modi speaks for the barbarians who arent blessed with wands

I dont mind playing the minion for the admins until they realize our agony for good..
Building up guilds to perform better at PvP sounds feasible but having similar or worse ratio at PvE goes against the natural flux of an RPG. I commend the improvement in AI as long it doesnt mess with the parity of win/loss (aka our ability to build t build guilds) while increasing the challenge to a viable level.

From .com players yes. RU players use the defence built in a whole different way, more offensive. While I perfected it and used it from after the merge till even this day.

To bad its bad in defence's and QT's (except 1 vs 1).

Barbarians have always been brutally offensive, nothing wrong with that, as long as you don't face defensive Romans ;).

Er, it doesn't. It has to do with me being a barbarian. You had to clip half of the sentence before that to make your strange tie-in work. Don't be jealous,son. )

As for Derelict, he is a wise-arse like I am. I have no problem with him at all. Just having a bit of fun as men do, breaking balls.
