boar riders are fine | for barbmaster:
boar riders are way stronger than wolf raiders in PVP IMHO | Boarriders can deal double the damage of Wolfraiders, so it is as good as Double Strike. 20% Ignore means it is a total one hit striker that can kill entire troops at once.
It will act be OP if the number of Boar Riders is the same as Wolf Raiders. | for AKA:
wolf raiders deal triple strike so if boar riders deal damage as much as 2 strikes, it does not seem overpowered.
Other tier trops might be weaker than present upgrades to balance the strength of boar riders/goblin archers. I am sure that admins will find a way out of it. | wow new barbarian?

i hope not... since the new classes have come into existence... its very common to have people with evasion/confusion in PvP.
Normal Barb is already fine at PvE (well im considering triple strike , bloodlust , etc) but its very weak against buffs/debuffs which got alot common now. Agreed normal barb is already deadly in PvE, but I like them on PvP as well.
The alt should bring something new for both situations, I don't know how good they will be on PvPs, goblins archers are so easy to kill and does so low amount of damage (unless they have fury or vitality) the boar riders doesn't seems stronger like black wolfs (but still good), so I don't know how they gonna be on PvP, but I bet admins are making something very well balanced.
At least mass darkness, will be a great help, mainly in PvP. (Mass delay + AeO Stun?)
The only thing we already know is about archer goblins.
I don't think orcs will lose their range skills (but they could lose bloodlust or no melee penalty and get a new abillity), cyclops could lose their gate breaker abillity and get something new, such bloodlust (should be great for PvP if so...)

Have you ever faced Goblins archers or Boar ridders in anything else then a hunt?
I can tell you you that in a thief, 200 goblins archers are DEADLY.
Not to start about boar riders..
Dang man, I've got 113 guards with a lot of def, full buffed, BUT if 65 boar riders hit ME before I can hit them (they have nice ini) I lose about 40- 60 guards in ONE hit :).
These "pigs" with 3 - 4 morale is what I fear most when facing a high geared Barbarian Caravan. | Every archer is deadly inside their range, the best low level tier archer is elven bowmen/GMB, but they have a low settlement, to make it balanced to all others factions with a inferior range power.
Yes boar riders could be better on full ap fights instead of min ap fights, because they ingnore some defence.
But 20% def reduction *2 = 40% defence reduction, makes a average of 2.4 total damage, while black wolfs could make 3 times higher his damage, because of triple strike.
Boar riders had a small advantage on first strike, because they will inflict 20% more dmg, consequently take less retalation back and lose less creatures, but I doubt they could make more damage than black wolfs.
Of course they should be better against defensive builds or very armored units, such a Knight with defencive build agaisnt a guardians that's a perfect example, this should extract the best performace or this creature, but against low defence units with high speed/initiative this effect will be less effective, doesn't mean useless.
Anyway a full stack of black wolfs could kill anything they stike.

Their main role in my perception is scourt and protect their range power, without letting any unit comes close, the black wolfs for otherside are more agressive but normal barbs doesn't have 3 range units anyway... | I'd rather face 200 wolf raiders then 100 boar riders.
Wolfs raiders is 1 hit KO(low defence and low HP). While boar riders can move way further, perhaps they can even get to the other side in PVP at their first turn.
So they are way more dangerous.
If Wolfs can hit me, mostly thats not a big problem, they hit -20 guards, and gaurds hit back so there will not be many wolfs left for the other 2 strike's.
Wile riders do their damage in 1 turn inflicting way more damage then wolfs can. | Let's say your guardians had 50 defence - 20% = 40 defence remains.
So this unit gonna make +50% damage on his first strike.
If a black wolf could kill 20 on first strike, those boar riders gonna gonna 30 - 35 max.
The question is, why a barbarian with a better range power than knight should chase guardians without any unit to take his ret off? Even rocs could do this for them.
Also if they stay on defensive they could use orcs as melee to combat guardians together, to not forget they should be the last target, because they move very slow, other units such griffins or cavalary could mess lot more the game if not killed on beginning (also high tier creatures will give lot bloodlust, such angel for example will feed +7 attack to bloodlust)
Making orcs more deadly to while they wait for guardians...
If the barbarian guy had a better range power there's no reason throw wolfs/boars on guardians.
First because barbs had a better range power than knights, secondly because they improve their dmg waiting, third because they had more troops to take ret and assist on damage on their corner, so no point to throw units away.
Yes you could speak about holy magic to improve knight range power, but in this case we're going to discuss something totally off topic.
The think which makes boar riders superior, is their status.
While black wolfs had a averange of 2.5 dmg per hit (7.5 total)
Boar riders had a averange of 5 dmg per hit (10 total)
Plus +3 hp per each unit.
But you totally forget about the settlement, barbarians had to choose between goblins or wolfs/boars, if they which to have a "perfect" range, so they will had a low amount of boars, if they want a stronger melee, they will had a low amount of goblin archers, unless they want balance both strenghts.
In this case, black wolfs should be better, because they are high numbered.
In your math you said boar riders are worse if they stand on same number as black wolfs, the question is, why they should stay on same numbers?
