Brother, I fail your pain. I did spend around 6 months with ONE hunt. I got them, there where the easiest one that I got (grey), according to the system. I did lose terrible against them, I passed hunts, till I got them again (did take around one week) and than lose against them again. I did try everything, different tactics, full arts, enchanted arts and so on.
I was never able to even come close against this EASIEST HUNT EVER THAT WAS THERE IN THE SYSTEM. Until I did try a red hunt - killed them easy, leveled up and upgrade my shrews than I could beat the grey hunt easy. Than I realized that the hunt was grey, because someone did use diamonds and upgrade his shrews one level earlier any make such a high record, that this hunt will be grey even for those that don't use diamonds.
You really can't use the system blind. | Than I realized that the hunt was grey, because someone did use diamonds and upgrade his shrews one level earlier any make such a high record, that this hunt will be grey even for those that don't use diamonds.
They have diamond upgrades at CL 8? Anyway, I'll stick to my guns, or rather, crossbows on this. Crossbowmen simply own large creatures (unless they have Paw knock, I think). For other factions, colors should be more reliable. | Also I dont think the creator is raging that he lost a white hunt as much as he is upset about the rating system for hunts.
Ah, but he stated that his reason for being upset is that a white hunt was not a white hunt. Well, just about everyone here agrees that it was indeed a white hunt, and that he played horrendously.
In other words, he really has no reason to be upset, except maybe at himself for being, you know ... | Just one thing was wanting to say...
RUSH Lucid-Naz RUSH!!! | you guys, there is that colored bullet which lead you to the top 3 performances in hunt against that creature type and watch some fights. even is on white hunt you can always see what talents/troops arrangement should be necessary; well, maybe especially when you face a new creature type is good to watch top scorers fights. | Yes, it does say 'threat level' when you mouse over the bullet, so yes, i could be confusing for people who are new to this game (and yes, 'distance to record' would be more appropriate).
You are not new to this game though, and had your share of hunts already.
You just got caught by your own reflexes... you see white, think 'hell yeah let's do this' and then get surprised.
Whether you agree with this system or not, either way you know that the system works this way.
In your first post you said when a game says this is an easy hunt, for some odd reason I tend to believe them...
It's that odd reason you gotta tackle... ;)
Match the colour of the hunt to your AP, not your playstyle. That way, you can also develop the best strategy untill you get to that red exclamation mark... | on other words, it was your own fault that being careless on a combat [even it is a white hunt].
nothing much to be done, threat all combats serious next time.
OF COURSE, when a game says this is an easy hunt, it DID mean it is easy IF you have proper strategy and tactic setup :) | Nothing is easy, be ALWAYS prepared ! | realistic hunts!!!
What in this game is realistic to begin with? Why should the hunts be so?
If you are unfit for hunting, you are a bad strategist, bad tactician, bad planner, bad, bad, bad then don't do it.
If you'r trying and you lose, then don't scream; you'r just incapable of winning, why should anyone win anyways? World is full of losers. You are just one of them. That's all. No shame, no pain, no nothing. Just resign yourself to the place where you belong.
