why have rangers if we barely have thieves?
thieves ain't lousy, just with such huge online setting ambush for 10 times in a row to get at best one (!) snail caravan is OUTRAGEOUS |

Is cost to join Ranger's guild similar of cost to get a TGI? If not then it would be a very cheap option to enter thieves guild, just join rangers and pay 15k to switch?
Also I was told you can only be in 1 or the other, is this correct?

(and it is 1000 gold * combat level, so only for lev15 ppl its 15k)
for DiN, there is no cost to join rangers guild. But you need a mount to do the quest else you are in time at the target location.
And you can switch as much as you want (i think) as long as you pay the fee.
And obviously you cant switch to TG if you do not have a TGI.
And yes, you can only be in one of the two guilds at once and only the initiative bonus from your current guild counts.
E.g. combat level 12, thief guild 8 and rangers 0 when it is introduced.
-> you want to test rangers guild: 12k to switch
-> survival tournament comes and you want 8% ini bonus from tg: 12k to switch
-> survival tournament is over and you want to train rangers guild again: 12k |
