Knight is certainly a huge challenge for Elf at just about any level. At higher levels, when you have Anchorites... Earthen Spikes are excellent for killing those single Guardians that are covering their xbows with Shield Allies. SS on EFK make them a formidable attacker against Guardians as long as they are chosen as Favored Enemy. Trees can ruin Cavalry with ease, as long as they get their shot at them. Griffins are tough in numbers, though... and should be dealt with quickly before anything else (if they choose to recruit many of them).
I have beaten a few powerful Knights in duels or ambushes with a bit of good strategy and luck. Even phantoms can be a little useful... or high level of nature magic for a nicely timed wasp swarm. Problem is, the proper Talents and Recruit to face a powerful Knight depends largely on what you see after you start the battle; so if anything, luck is a huge boon to Elf here. |

| take expert luck, since your bowman managed to go first than orc, with luck you surely would be shooted hes orc. And cast stoneskin for your efk and uni, make 2 stacks of druids not 3, and split as many 1 efk as you can to make sure you can retal he's stacks. |

if i split druids into 3 stack and elven into 2 stacks then i don't have any spots for splitting 1 efk. :(

if you want split your bowmans.
with this you have 1 spot left for 1 efk and I suggest you even to try not split bowmans then you can get 2 efk stacks with 1 in each.

Do what? Kill enemy... that rapid is shitworth for you since it is none of the help in your level as you can see.
P.S make sure you stoneskin your efk and unicorn... No skin no elf. |

seriously i beat luck elves quite easily with 1 luck :P
and FYI i'm actually quite lucky enough with 1 luck!!

u don't know wat i see. mass rapid is quite wonderful. take it vs barbs for eg.

2 stacks of orcs kill 7 out of 2 12 stacks of elven each.
remaining 5+5=10 bows get to go against orcs.
with rapid.

so 10+10=20 bows goes against orcs.
this is just 1 example. it works well against all archers!! |
if you feel lucky from 1 luck as I saw in that duel against barb than I can say you don't know really lucky elf... advantages from not splitting bowmans, you can even try to stoneskin your bowmans, and what I want to add with that "awsomness" of rapid that your bowman can go faster, from even little wasp swarm or single rapid 0.5 to elven bowman, and your bowman going faster than hes range in next turn.
I can see that you lack of luck in that fight, it's too hard to win anyone without luck for elf and especially in low levels... I see you somehow don't want to agree with me, maybe you came here not to ask for advise? |
With lucky enough i meant to say that i get more luck than lucky elves when i play against elves most of the times not always.
Wat i really want from here is strategies. i get it from all other faction threads but strangely not from here at all. It really makes me wonder whether elves follow no strategy at all? in fact i don't see even fortune elves winning. last tourney was a disaster for some elves of my lvl even with 4 luck.
elves really need to change coz all other factions are changing. elves need to understand that even if u don't follow any strategies other faction will surely develop a strategy against u. Epic example are de's
they were the easiest to beat in my lvl in the past but now they are the most unbeatable faction for elves. and y? strategy that's y, they brought prisoners to kill bows easily and their high morale is a nightmare.
like wise all factions are developing strategy while elves stick with the old fashion way. nothing new. |
| Not elf's maybe seeks for any strategy but maybe you don't search enough for it? Elf have most of the options as talents setups so no need about no strategies for elf... Every faction relies on some kind of style most and for elf luck is most common strategy which worked for all the times and if you can't fit in with this maybe change faction I can advise you. And if someone finds strategy against you, than why you can't find strategy against them? and don't need to forget you are only 8level this means you can't perform any good strategy than just purely depend on luck/morale chances which gives most win chance of all strategies. |
| Hmm was just trying something new. i kinda realised that elves are nothing without luck some time ago but still wanted to try something different. |

and also heavily dependant on raising dead...
i only use it as a last effort and on bowman...raise dead doesnt help much actually.not only eats hp, gives bad morale.at the very end may use it..
change the talents to luck, thats all. others are almost stupid in that level. battle fury is good sometimes, but nothing compares with luck. Holy magic very rare & only works in gb..trust me. |
