i feel it's weird that one sells TGI for 1.01M while people are bidding 1.05-1.09M. he could easily makes 50-60k more if he contacts one of those bidders.

3) Yes but still those who were in rush the most and had most of cash, have just bought TGI, the ones that remained have less cash or are more patient for better price
Ironically that just adds to my inflation theory and causes pent up demand.
4) Top lvl for TGI is 1,200k so as the prices are near the top, there is nothing bad and risky going to happen for players that seek to buy for their own use. Terms can only stay similar or get better.
Before the diamond mine TGI prices were above 1200k. In the foreseeable future there's really nothing to cause any significant drop in prices.
As long as resellers did not resell the TGI they just bought, they will not buy another TGI and in that time they will not create demand for another speculation. For this reason if someone just got to TG lvl 5 will probably put his offer at lower level than prices of resellers and its offer will not be taken by reseller as resellers have now less cash and more TGI.
Resellers are rather rich and can buy multiple TGIs. There is also no shortage of gold. There are many rich players with lots of gold while there are only a few TGIs floating around. The situation is bad enough where I saw resellers competing against each other. |

3 come from resellers and 1 from 1st hand. The offer from the first hand has most attractive price at 1,1M but it is an auction. The rest is for price ca. 1120-1130k.
Before the auction the amount of TGI on the market was lower, 1 or none. We will see if from now on the amount of offers increases permamently or just temporarily. |

But the players are happy to make it to level 5, and want their 1kk back ... Then sell the way the darkelf like to buy :( |
| I am one of those who decided to save gold for TGI from combat lvl 1 to maybe lvl 6 and I am reconciled with the fact that it may takes over 1 year to save enough gold for TGI. I must be just patient. Of course, playing the roulette can bring so much gold in 2-3 months but I need the surety that I will have +1200k and no -1200k. Any price change (I suppose the price can't be higher than 1200k gold) is aaccetable for me as I am reconciled with the current price. :o) |

Yes, I was with -12k in 1 month ago, but now I have +20k... It is good for me, and I still continue playing in roulette... But when I have again +1000, I will stop... If I earn 100k I will stop too :P |

Indeed, I never understood why people still sell to him. Maybe we can form a team to provide financial advisory and raise awareness of the larger market. Of course I have no real incentive to do that, but perhaps people who are planning to buy a TGI will. :) |

Well. I have already played this character for 75 days and my current property is 188,729 gold. So I make around 2,516 gold per day. In 365 days it is 918,481 gold but my Laborers' guild will inrease its level so I would say it really takes that one year to save enough :) |

Seriously, though, it has something to do with gamer psychology. A while ago, some dude came up with the notion that gamers can be categorized into four classes. If we follow his model, the resellers would belong to the "Diamond" player types. These are the ones who want more gold, trophies, etc. The ones accusing the Diamonds of greed would belong to the "Heart" type. They focus more on community aspects of the game want want to make it a friendlier place. The ones arguing with them (like me) would belong to the "Club" type. We like battles and conflict and would disagree just for the heck of it. XD

admins must carefully balance amount of gold going around (can't be too much, or players won't buy gold with diamonds, but not too little that they can't buy equipment and goodies).
bottomline, it was to easy to get a TGI before the update (300k per TGI, when LG6 would give 3x base salary AND you'd get 2 TGIs). |

Yes, in the past can be too easy... But now? I think that now it is too expensive... The price of TGI could be 60 diamonds... Or the price could be of 10k per diamond... Syrian, what do you think about TGI's price?

what do you think about TGI's price?
like i said, it's the admins attempt to get players to donate. back before the update, it wasn't worth it to buy a TGI with diamonds. you'd get one for free (through leasing) and at TG2 you'd give it back (along with your first 2 thief arts; this was usually the leaser's profit, as far as i recall); then at TG4 you'd get your own. everyone was entering TG without donating: the admins were losing money here.
after the update, spending 80 euros to enter TG suddenly became the best real-money investment you can make in this game. why? because in the long term it will turn you into a millionaire. so finaly players started donating to enter TG. the only catch here, on the admins side, is that they cannot allow the server to have too much gold going around (or players won't buy gold with diamonds). on the players side, it's just the free market working: for as long as there are players willing and able to spend 1kk gold, sellers won't lower the price. (i know i won't eheheh) |

i actually lose gold in TG. i use arts worth 708 gold/battle and get nowhere near that when i win. but it's making level up faster (maybe after i reach TG5 i'll downgrade to min AP). i would have to get a thief amulet at every level to get all the gold back ;)
but i guess you turn a profit if you do all ambushes with min AP (though it'll take you a lot longer to reach TG5).
reaching TG5: that's what makes you a millionaire. not the thieving itself. |
