The purpose of this thread is to discuss how to prevent unethical behaviour, not to discuss which clans were and were not being unethical and how they were being unethical in this particular event.
A beautiful thing. Now can we get to business and form an MC council to try and hammer out some agreements for events and other things?
If you take the opportunity Arctic is giving you and send a rep to the possible future Empire sanctioned clan, all players will benefit. Having that clan in place can lead to other things. It is ethical during a war for one MC to mass recruit another MC.
Afaik is not against the rules.
IMHO since the second MC leader was notified and he even blessed the action i see nothing wrong with it.
IT could be unethical if everything was done behind the second MC leaders back, but still this would define their relation an not how their appear in the eyes of LWM community.

I don't suppose it would hurt to try it. How then do you suggest we proceed with the idea?

Is there a limit on reps? Should Arctic be contacting Military leaders to allow them to decide on whether or not they proceed?
Other rules need to be ironed out about the clan. Is that left to the reps to discuss once it is created? Or does Arctic establish some ground rules and the clan be built around those?

I think you would have a change of mind if you were leading the event and ended up losing the last day while the clan you lost to took in 30 members of another MC to beat you. Do you really think that would not bother you?
Let me tell you that on ru, we were in a furious race to win the game of the year award and watched as the second place game overtook us by blatant cheating, ruining all our work and costing us a week long festival.
If you were not there, you can't understand the feeling of thinking you were in an honest battle and seeing that is was not this way in reality and nobody did a darn thing to stop it either. That was the most corrupt thing I was ever involved in and it was shocking, even at my age.
That action by the second place game probably forever ruined the whole event as I would be surprised if ru would subject itself to such outlandish cheating. | for Dizbe:

The question about what is fair largely depends, as you said, on one's opinion. To you, recruiting members from other clans is not fair.
While to some, it isnt fair that a clan has greater numbers to begin with.
Then comes deeper considerations,as to some people, it wouldnt be fair that someone else is winning simply because he/she has more time/skill/readily avaiable teammates to accumulate more wins than the other.
That said, if u are upset over being beaten, it might be because of your own opinion on how you were beaten. My point is that there are probably many others who were aware of the situation, but by their own 'opinion', they decided to stay happy and accept things as they were. Hence the violation of ethnic was not a universal one. Rather one on a more personal level. | @ Modi 33.

Like he said, Nutella could not have known what happened with you, right?, maybe you were bought or raided as you like to call it. Maybe nutella did not even notice your move. we have no idea, until Nutella responds on this.
On the topic of the message - this was a war, and we were recruiting from our allies, although i dont completely agree with the things nutella did, it was war. In real war what do you do? you ask your allies to fight for you.
Hiring mercenaries, or new members specifically for a war is the same as borrowing from your allies. All should be allowed and open, thats what wars are for. You fight without honour or dignity, thats reservered for tournaments. Wars have no rules, you just fight until the end and kill or be killed.
Try to walk into ...... (any country there is war now), and say hey don't shoot me, i did not try to kill you, they will start laughing and kill you with even more pleasure.
p.s Dont compare this with the previous tournament, that was a completely different situation. |

I already stated that the recruiting had NOTHING to do with WGW winning the event so your idea about me maybe being angry about the way we were beaten is not valid.
Second, until a very short time ago, WGW clan members had no idea this happened so some widespread knowledge of it is also not valid.

Wars have no rules? So then is it allowed to go to the forum with propaganda against a rival clan as we see in real life? No its not allowed here so the whole real life war line doesn't apply to this server. | | closed by Modi (2011-01-07 08:35:51) |
