Author | Elves: How do they work? A faction discussion topic! |
What will be best to increase in level 6 elf? Attack,Defense or knowledge.... | prefer attack | another question for level 5/6 elf,
what would be the best setup? many druids, forest keepers or sprites?
Greets | depends on your play style.
for pvp, max druid, bow and then fk. try not to use sprites since their low hitpoint will be easily killed.
for hunting and mercenaries, just shift between sprites and fk depend on the creature you hunt | Sprites are a must for any slow creature hunt. 'Slow' means speed 5 or less, initiative 9 or less (8 or less if your init bonus is low), AND no shooter or caster abilities that can cause damage. Sprites can kite very easily. Kiting is when your Sprites have two more more turns between the enemy stacks' turns. First turns are for attacking, and the last turn for that stack of Sprites should be for running a safe distance away. Often times, creatures with initiative 9 or 10 can be kited... with only being able to hit every so often. This greatly limits Sprite's effectiveness; but can often be more effective than Keepers.
Also beware enemies with morale. An enemy stack that gets morale after their turn can ruin your attack pattern. Also be warned that each enemy stack gains 1 speed for every 10 of your hero's turns. This means that there is a limit to how long you can hit and run. So maximum damage per hit is very important. Try Battle Fury as a talent, which gives 10% melee damage bonus (with Basic Offense) as well as 50% more damage with +1 min and max damage (Sprites have 2-2 damage; so 3-3 with Battle Fury = 50% more damage as a constant). Further melee talents are unnecessary; so put the rest of those points in Luck if you can. The chance of doing double damage far outweighs the 10% extra melee damage from Offensive talents. Especially in terms of Talent costs.
For example; Battle Fury is 20 points for 60% melee damage. Every 10 points after that is only 10% more. Luck is only 7 points, and 1 luck can amount to 15% more overall damage (rough average). The only problem here is that it is inconsistent and dependent on how long the battle goes and how often luck does and does not trigger. That said, it is far cheaper than Offensive talents; aside from Battle Fury. | Hi all elves. Yes, i'm a Dark one, but i do have an additional character that is an elf (lvl 3) LightPuma. Search him up if you want.
With him, I'm not doing any PvP's at all, only hunts. What would be the best set up for future levels concerning hunts? Also for tournaments? Thanks.
I've already put 2 skill points on knowledge, even though i don't need it, just for later use. I have full arts on him, so I just wanted to know what would be the best set up concerning hard hunts later on? Magic build or Might build? Talents, Skill points, etc. Thanks, help would be appreciated. | @46
When you reach level 4, you still have the same creature as level 3 so the strategy will be the same, max bow change between fk and fairy in my case.
You may want to watch the tournament done by other player at the:
https://www.lordswm.com/tournaments_hist.php?tour=40&tid=461&race=4
this is the last tournament done by elf in level 4.
for elf, is best to invest skill point on attack not on knowledge till level 8 which warsp swarm spell being introduced. For hunting at level 5, refer post 45 which ipslne wrote. | Hey can anyone tell me how much mana i should have if i am a lvl 10 elf and i need to make summons so how much knowledge i shud have? | https://www.lordswm.com/forum_messages.php?tid=1892062&page=last
read post 64 writen by ipslne | Ok thx | lol thanks hpsim ;) I should start linking people to that thread... would save me a lot of repeating myself xD
Still... there should be more Might Elves to give advice too. Or some alternatives. I have found that my play style as a Nature Elf is above-average at best; and not always that great. That said; I think the strongest point of my play style is in assisted hunts and group battles... and perhaps Mercenary missions (if people still do those ;p ) | @51
your welcome. I have found out many high level elf also using summon phantom in hunt or sometime in theiving. For might elf, they mostly prefer soldier luck when they get brilliant unicorn and basic offense+battle fury. | in high levels there is no big change, for hunts mostly is using phantoms, actually phantoms can be used and probably the best choice, the people who don't use any knowledge is because is doing some group battles or duels against other players, where you don't need any mana since last updates gived up the dispersion chance to dispers all the bad or good buff's and wasp swarm doesn't work so well so no mana needed there. About soldier's luck, it's one of the options at ambush, but mostly is using in group battles where it gives great boost to unicorn blind attack trigger, but at other AI fights it's kinda pointless. So that's some tips young elf's, or not so young but beginning as elf ^^ |
