i like this idea infact i have done this in facebook too :))) |
for filowarrior:
how about players who have characters both here and on .ru? :)
I would like to beat myself up!! |
Just compare, in .ru server global news may 2010-today:
.com: NO!
.ru: 25
Conclusion: The administration does not want this server. |
Nothing in this world is free. I bought some diamonds yesterday. I'm lucky and have a job. I like the game and wanted to support it.
What I then noticed was that I couldn't fight battles because people say "no diamonds" on the description....iI am still not sure what that is about. If the attitude is to not donate even if you can afford to....surely there is something not quite right there.
Someone pays for the server to host the game and they should be able to expect a little help with that. |

That's great!

"No diamonds" normally means, in combat description, is that you can not enter the combat with troops that have been upgraded via. diamonds. Check your castle -> upgraded constructions. You will find that the constructions there may be bought at an earlier level - for diamonds. When you have done so, you get to upgrade your troops early, thereby gaining an advantage to other player's lousier troops. People hate this, therefore they place "no diamonds" in the combat description.
If the attitude is to not donate even if you can afford to....surely there is something not quite right there.
You're right. And the admins WANT you to donate, they don't want this to happen. Therefore, the following rule is in effect:
7. Combat description is just a request not obligation. And thus transgressing the combat description is not a violation of game rules.
What this means is that you may don't follow the "no diamonds" in the combat description of you do wish to, while it is considered unethical in many cases, you may still join the battle with diamond troops - and it is still legal, even if they complain, nothing will happen to you. Also, take note that why should be be at a disadvantage if you decided to donate to the game?
P.S. I don't recommend using diamonds to "diamond-up" troops. I recommend using them to gain free entry into the thief guild. |
Thank you for a really full and useful response ChooJeremy :)
That has answered a lot of questions for me. I used the diamonds to "catch up" and to correct what was a disadvantage from changing factions so often....so I feel ok about joining a battle with that on the description following that information. |
for Rilin:
right now you don't have an early diamond upgrade troops (elite forest keepers in your case), so there is absolutely nothing to violate even on an ethical level in those "no diamonds" battle descriptions.
there are some people who are against the donations, because they simply can't afford it themselves or strongly don't want to, but they prefer to call it a fair game and consider donating people to be cheaters.
i agree with ChooJeremy on the TG advice. the earlier you start, the better. and especially if you have elite forest keepers.
my lvl 6 was incredibly enjoyable thanks to the thieves guild and earlier upgrade for elf. |
Thanks Dalek. Yes..."haters are always gonna hate" I suppose.
The thieve's invite is expensive...but I think I should have saved up for it instead of spending it on shiny jewellery lol...which of course wears out...the thieve's invite doesn't wear out :) |
for Rilin:
exactly.
plus, when you reach TG lvl5, you'll get TGI and can sell with with huge profit (look how much does it cost on market and how much can you get for exchanging 80 diamonds for gold). and the most precious thing you'll will have by that time is additional +5% initiative, which can't be bought anyhow, only gained by TG. |
