Effect: a person has won more in roulette than they have lost.
Cause: Luck
Explanation: Due to probability being just that, the probable, but not the definate result, with enough people playing roulette, some will have won more than they have lost.
Due to the flawed human brain which often ascribes the wrong cause to an effect, many of those who have won think they have some system, or have worked it out or whatveer when it is just the random fluctuations of a probability distribution. |
