40: If you don't like the empire you can join the dwarves!
I don't like this change either, for a simple issue: it makes high-level faction change EVEN harder (as it was too easy to begin with...)

Imagine, you are high combat level and want to switch.

Not only it will cost you dire, but you are unlikely to win many fights with your new faction, because you'll be very weak if your new faction is heavily linked to faction level.

Beginner high-level Necros or Knights don't fare too well!

It's already extremely expensive to purchase again all new castle buildings. One has to fight full arts to have any chance to win - and it's often not enough. But you need to score at least a win in 10 enroll to keep on earning money!

Going on too far in a faction change can lead to a dead end: a character without any artifact left, no gold to purchase new artifacts, and a maximum workaholic penalty preventing him from breaking the vicious circle.

It could have been great to at least repel workaholic penalty from 1 combat for each defeat. Something not penalizing people actually playing the game, and still losing their battles.

if someone is trapped like this, he can stop fighting and only enroll for 2-3 days.
he will get only 10% gold, but it's better than nothing.
when he has enough gold to buy the cheapest min AP set, he just need a victory to remove the workaholic penality.
for exemple he can make a duel level 12 VS level 7, and ask his friends and/or clan members to join :)
I think that staged battles to remove the penalty would be frowned upon.

Though, he could just switch back to his powerful faction temporarily to win a battle. Do some enrolls that day, and then switch back to the faction he's building in after 24 hours.
Don´t forget on many new MQ. They are easy to beat them;-)
they are easy because they are new.
but when you will face conspirators {25} they will probably not be easy.

the new MG quests are only a solution in the short run.

I concur, but I fear indeed we'll see more and more fake duels like that in the future - and they'll be far less obvious to spot.

Another ill-effect of workaholic penalty...
There are always legitimate ways to win a combat once per day:

- PvP ( high level players can join one of the random level battles ) - the worst solution since the fights are stupid but it remains a last resort solution that will always be present.

- Some MG quests difficulty increase a LOT slower than others - most likely you can find a monster/raid that is doable even with new faction - if you skip several quests you will find one of those most likely.

- Hunt assists - Nothing easier than finding a monster extremely hard for your faction ( e.g. modern golems for wizard ) and ask a friend to help you ( for example a DE in golem case ) . Since he will be doing most of the damage the golem numbers for next hunt will increase very slowly.

- If game keeps developing there will be new content around every now and then to help solve this issue. If not you can just take a break until it gets new content/new fights to win and then come back if you still feel like it.

And as with all changes in all online games since they first appeared: The good and smart players will always find a way/solution to every change as long as they still like the game.
Another good point in my choice of going for more factions at an early stage ;)
the true question raised here is what is admin's problem with people who earn their gold by ingame mechanisms? why they are tenaciously trying to force players to spend more gold or prevent their ways to make ingame money piece by piece with every new update?

the answer is simple as the questions? - because it's the only way to make people to adapt this style of play:
https://www.lordswm.com/pl_transfers.php?id=4384589

some recent examples on artificialy forcing the players to spend more gold than before:
- increasing the elements needed for enchants;
- TG changes. practically no leasings anymore. you can't be a thief, if you don't buy an invitation. also you can't earn anymore by renting TGIs;
- the fresh new "unprecedented market mechanics", in other words - catch;

concerning particular LG issue:
i like the combat system, i like to fight, but there are weeks when i got bored and 1 or 2 battles is all i do. so what? i like pizza too, but there are weeks when i just don't want to eat pizza. should this mean i must be forced to eat pizza regularly by cutting my wages? (you can replace "cutting my wages" with anything totally irrelevant to eating pizza).

and forgive me for never asking about updates. as i noticed, many experienced players never asked either. i have my reasons to believe this has something to do with the fact we know where every new portion of updates is heading to.
Yes, no more new "upgrade" welcomed.
The "upgrade" is just the same kind of the "upgrade" of those credit card companies sent to you about your cards.
Just more events, or more creatures would be enough. All other upgrades are
unfavorable to players in the long run.

If you don't pizza for a whole week then you will become a bad worker -> It's natural to have your wages cut down :)

Pizza is essential for life...
for Jabbar:
[Player banned for one week. Warning ban.] // Off-topic, on-topic, aside of the topic, mostly don't like your point ;D}

Note: you can't eat and/or enroll for the duration of the ban!

actually, i become a surprisingly good worker when i'm paid well. you can ask in the Blooming Glade factories ;}
if all these updates are so bad, why in Russia they have 10000 on-line?
Maybe they spent so much money on Russian diamonds that they couldn't afford an iPhone?
if all these updates are so bad, why in Russia they have 10000 on-line?

because they would have had 30000 online without them. but the income would be also 1/3 from the current amount
Also with 30000 people cost to maintain servers would be double :-)

Georgia replied with a good joke, which was the best reply one could give to such a statement.

Unless you have some solid proof that the 10000 on-line on Russian server are playing BECAUSE of these updates and not anything else, and/or you can bring in solid data showing that the average number of players online increased a lot (or decreased a lot) immediately after the implementation of upgrades, you are just comparing apples with, err, pneumatic drills.
no ... I am only stating that there are still 10000 players on-line in Russia, despite the updates ... or because of that ... I don't know ... still they are there ... evidence vs. whining
How can you tell that it's "because" the updates or "despite" the updates? Georgia may as well be right when claiming that .ru could be at 30'000 players without the update. Who knows!

I can only tell that there were many protests when the changes have been introduced there too!
This topic is long since last update and considered obsolete for further discussions.
