I will reconsider, but shall find the same conclusions. Nuclear fusion results in a loss of mass, which while small, over the time span mentioned (7.6 billion years) and with the masses involved result in a considerable change. Under nuclear fusion, two hydrogen nuclei join to form a helium nucleus. This results in a small loss of mass and a release of a large amount of energy E=mc squared.

There are two concurrent reactions in a star: fusion and fission. While 2 x H2 can end up in 1 x He, the reverse process is also true. The only difference is in the rate of each reaction (fusion has higher rate).

Can you explain also how a Red Dwarf appears? Also, by that time, the gases will fusion in heavier elements, which means the gravitation pool will be less than now, but not enough small/large to produce and keep a significant amount of cosmic dust/clouds in orbit (which would support your theory). The gases won't expand because they are now in the center of Sun (see Solar Standard Model), but they will transform themselves as I mentioned above. Maybe a part of them will escape, but not a significant one. As I said, please, reconsider your last statement taking into consideration the positioning of the light elements. ;) |
| To my understanding, refer to more detail sources if need be, the life cycle of a star depends very much on the initial mass of the star, and the contents within it. Its destiny is then affected by this, if large to supernova, if smaller to do other cycles. To my undertstanding the life cycle of our star is such that as it runs out of fuel and loses mass through fusion it shall expand and cool, forming a red giant. During this stage as the sun expamds it will engulf the Earth. Eventually teh outer lighter layers will be lost entirely from teh sun and so you will be left with only the heavier core of the sun. The sun will now be a white dwarf. |

the true is that older than than star is(sun in this case)bigger it is, witch means some unhappy day the earth will simply dissapear in huge sun, but it will take billions of years to become this a reality |
