but you make it sound that we are out to take your money... did you ever try asking for a return. a simple PM will get you back the stolen money
and no point bragging that you returned money to a sole victim (non thief etc etc) plenty thieves out there return the loot to all their victims irrespective of their TG/cheating status |

i think it really is okay the way you do it (and when i get stuck with hunts & merc quests i will try the same) but don't call the thieves evil - they can't do anything else if they want to keep up with the ini of those who already went through this
Holy cow! Do I know you personally? It's a role playing game. Many use avatars to represent their hero. Why would anyone take it as a personal insult? What happens to thieves who get caught in real life? Thieves aren't supposed to be the "good guys." I play a barbarian, rude and blunt. There is a thing called imagination that this generation can't seem to grasp. Everyone is so sensitive. I work with men and we spend all day insulting each other. That's what men do where I come from. We all get along just fine. Everyone has a good time. Thieves are evil. Oh no...the horror of it all! |

The game pits player vs player in an ambush sometimes so you must expect some backlash.

well where i come from there is something called "respect"
that means you don't go around all day insulting each other but remain calm until it really is necessary to strike (and then do it has hard as you can)
a real men knows when to speak and when not and most of all doesn't take his word lightly
and if you think of this as a roleplay - i'm fine with playing the evil monkey
but don't talk like you would know other persons disposition, this is just self-overestimating your point of view

I work on high rise construction sites. We aren't real men. LOL We only face possible death every day we step on the jobsite. Average is one death per high rise. Been on one job where three died, two by electrocution and one got crushed. Yeah, don't know a thing about being a real man and facing danger. I know those desk jobs are a real hazzard! May break a fingernail on the keyboard or something. I only hope to aspire to that level of manliness. |

So what exactly is your motivation? You don't want to save some hundred gold which thieves would usually steal, because then you wouldn't spend much more on arts and actively hunt them.
But perhaps you want experience, then let me tell you that your LG is already below average and the only way to keep this up is keep buying diamonds to pay your artefacts. (which is certainly good for the game)
Or do you just want to show off 'Hey look at me, I can beat thieves who know how to handle there finances, when I'm in full arts, am I great?' |

Just come over to level 11-12 where 90% of the thieves just ambush in min/low ap to get skill points for some new faction. Trust me they will be happy to face you - especially in full arts - since you give them much more fsp than an impossible caravan :) The other 10% ambushes with full thief set or 2-3 enchanted weapons - you can't really beat them unless you farm half a million gold to get your own gear ready ( that is after you get the gold needed for your own castle :P )
And regarding that comment at post 53, the fact that some people suck at primary school, fail to learn the alphabet or learn to count to 100, and can't get an easy office job and a relaxing life later on doesn't really make them more men than others :( |
