The original quote uses lottery instead of roulette, but that's no real difference and where I'm from it's commonly known, so I don't see (or meant) an offense in that.
And if you want some fun betting on wrong numbers and can do math, try the random function of your calculator, it's much cheaper that way

People need to make money to progress
I suggest nothing I just state options, which are (in expectation) more profitable than roulette and perhaps people should focus more on making money than on making progress.

I don't think so, as always it depends on how much effort you are willing to put into it, but of course it's not a way everyone can take.
Not only do you confuse the term 'short-sighted', you are blinkered yourself; your way of making money was based on buying up and monopolizing items which were in much demand.
I meant 'shortsighted' as in 'lack of foresight' to your comment that people don't make money offering services, which might be true at the moment, but will certainly change in the future.
Talking about blinkered, I'm not the one constantly crying for changes to adapt the game to my playing style, I'm fine with the game as it is and if the game is changed I'm fine with that as well. As I wrote in an other thread I adapt to the game not vice versa.
About confusing terms, for a monopoly all these merchants out there seems to be quite a lot, don't you think?
As for charging almost 400 gold for mecury...pathetic.
I charge whatever people will pay and if they pay 432 I charge it. It's part of the game and if you don't (or can't) use it, that's fine with me, but don't start crying that it's an 'unmoral' game feature. |
