He has the cheek to reply to this thread: See post [32] 'Stop complaining people!
Homyak, its a free forum. You can post as much unfair deals as you want. We can complain all we want. So stop being such a jerk by defending your actions. You are highlighting to us that you are profiteering.
You are highlighting to us that you are profiteering.

Well, attempting to - with 4,913 gold, Homyak seems far from making a living of his sales.

There's nothing illegal in his scheme. Trying to create an artificial scarcity by purchasing all Chain Helmet is even smart... But purchasing the stock costs an awful lot of money. And you can only store a limited amount of artifacts.

If nobody buys from the market, sellers will look ridiculous.

I suggest people not to buy from the market. Let the sellers' warehouse get full. Then factory production will resume for the regular players...

You are not the only one who found that out, but you are the first one who pointed it out, lol
What I wanted to say in my previous messages is that these artifact shortages are temporary. Wait a bit and they'll appear again. Currently, there are eleven Hauberks waiting in the factory, for example... While some time ago, other people complained in these very forums that Hauberk factory should hire more workers!

Well first of all I see that u're still angry because in the first link moderator decided to close your useless and smart-free comments :)
Second of all thank you for the free advertising in link #2 :)
And about profit: of course person who buys an art on the map and sells on the market - wants profit. (it's one of many ways to make money here)
So I see u're against all the people that use market for selling.
U can do the same if u want. Or u don't want (or too lazy) and jealous of others that can? :) U proved it in my last topic and u're are showing it again here. :)

What u're suggesting will never work. It's just the way it is and it will stay like that. Even when this map will be as big as on .RU server and when this map will have more facilities and work places - STILL people will buy on market.
Of course, but at what price?

The very example of Hauberk factory shows that on the long run artifacts may become available in numbers from time to time. And if you can create an artificial demand on the market while purchasing all you can and selling through controlled channels and makes tons of money of it... How long will it last before other people do the same? Then, competitors will have to struggle on the only parameter they control - price. And the market price will more or less match the factory price - just with an extra to cover commission, and comfort for the buyer.

Good luck for your money-making scheme...
for Kotrin:
People still buy hauberk on market. Even though the map has it.
And I will sell as long as people buy it. Like I said before everyone can do the same.
I personally don't agree with the scheme that one first creates an artificial scarcity and then sells certain artifacts with high prices.

Is it commonly regarded as a good behavior in the real world market? If not, why this unfair trade mode is allowed to happen in this game?

Even if the name of the game is "money and war", from my understanding, one should earn money through suitable ways like laboring, hunting, doing requests, repairing for others and so on. Isn't that the common view shared by administrators and other players?

No one is stupid. If they can pay less, why not? And why someone has the right to let others pay more? Sooner or later, players will realize what are going on with certain artifacts.

It is just a game. I would like be a friend with all of you, and I shouldn't have been so serious. But I think some comments will do good for the future of this game. I don't intend to hurt anyone. If the comments do so, I am sorry for that.

Depends of the real world you are speaking of :)

It's economy 101, really.

In a free market, new factories would spring up to fill up the demand. Entrepreneurs would try to fill the niches and sell as much as possible. There would be plenty of goods offered at varying prices. Nobody could sell too high because competitors would soon take their share of the market. But people creating factories would take a risk since useless artifact productions (like the Mana tube) would go bankrupt.

In a controlled market, production is decided by the government and sells at a fixed price, and no factory can get bankrupt no matter how irrelevant to what people need. While in free market goods are widely available but their prices vary, in a controlled market goods may be sold for cheap but few people ever manage to get them. The scarcity ensure hefty profit for the selected few who manage to get the goods in the first place. They can sell them again to a larger audience, somehow restoring market conditions, but getting a wide profit margin in the process.

Here factories are created and owned by admins and sell at a fixed price, irrelevant to supply and demand. Only admins can create a new factory or decide how many people can work there.

We are in a controlled market by the book, allowing parasitic behavior like Homyak's.

The only good point is that getting coveted items is the result of luck and smart tactics instead of political connections with the power. So at least everyone gets the same chance to grasp this fresh chain helmet... :)
I'm glad that someone finally related this to the real economy.

"I personally don't agree with the scheme that one first creates an artificial scarcity and then sells certain artifacts with high prices.

Like now, some people/companies get a lot of crop to create this food scarcity in several countries. People in those countries start dying of hunger and the governments/societies there become unstable so they have to buy corp from market for really high prices. The greedy people/companies have made lots of money from it by letting poor citizens of other countries die, and that's not good behavior at all.

But then chain helmet is not crop, its importance in this online game is no where near the importance of food in real life. And Homyak can't control the supply of the chain helmet factory since he has to get it as other people do, assuming he doesn't cheat or hack.
Homyak isn't the only owner of those helms. A couple of people made a small business on them... And now it is a problem: he has full inventory and just can't buy more arts =) Moreover, helmets now aren't so rare, so his profit is very small... I gained 7k from 1 sword, this one deal is better then the whole Homyak's chain helmet business =)
So i feel that why not the admin change the number of heroes allowed to enroll in each facility to become variable numbers. It all depends on the market demand. If more heroes needed one arts more ppl will be working in that facility and so output will be higher. Then so goes to resource and machining... so if not enaugh resource for production heroes have to sell resource to the facility and work in the related resource facility first this will indirectly give us as player to control over the amount of output in the facility rite!

This will indirectly help to motivate more player to join clan cause it will help then control output of certain facility. thus make the game more interesting.
Hurray! Chain helmet factory expanded :)
That's the way the life works. Get used to live O_o

Problem not in that. No helmets on factory, no helmets on market :)
This...

Is....

TOURNAMENT!!!!

An interesting idea! Fully support!!!
Maybe also variable prices like real markets :-)
I just noticed the number of workers has been increased to 6.
Thank administrators for their help :-)

Hope those who need the helmet can get one.
Good luck in hunting!
Tons of chain helmet stored in the factory now
Indeed. The problem is solved now.

I also notice that "Defender shield" has a similar problem which, I hope, can be solved in the near future.

Good luck!!!
